Craddock's Weekly Update
For the Week of August 17, 2026
Happy Weekend Craddock Families!
It was such a pleasure seeing so many of you at our annual Meet and Greet this past Thursday! The teachers worked so hard to ensure Craddock was ready to welcome everyone back and the kids sure did seem excited! We are truly thrilled to welcome them all back through our doors to officially begin the 26-27 school year this week!
As a reminder, all students K-5 begin the school year on a staggered start. All students whose last names begin with the letters A-L will attend school on Tuesday, 8/18, while students whose last names begin with M-Z will stay home. On Wednesday, 8/19, all students whose last names begin with M-Z will attend, while A-L students remain at home. We will then welcome ALL of our students together for the first time on Thursday, 8/20! We thank you for your flexibility so early in the year and feel so grateful to be able to have all of our students in small groups the first day to build comfort and rapport!
If your child will be busing to school, please make sure you use the links below to log into the MyRide app to gather important information about bus stops, pick up times, etc. Also, if your child will be riding a car to and from school, please take a few minutes to review our procedures listed below. The quicker we can get everyone following these with fidelity, the faster our arrival and dismissal will go!
As you get last minute things pulled together these next few days, please don't hesitate to reach out to any of us at Craddock with any questions or concerns. We are here to help you all year long!
I can't wait to see our 1st and 2nd graders this week! We are so lucky you entrust us with your most precious possession! Thank you for allowing us to build relationships, make connections and have an impact on some of Aurora's youngest (and cutest) learners! It's going to be a wonderful year!
Sincerely,
Kim Stewart, Principal

Welcome Back from School Counselor, Mrs. Claudia Schnur!
Hello Craddock Families!
I am so excited to be your childโs school counselor for the 26-27 school year! I am getting so ready to meet all of our incoming 1st graders and welcome back our 2nd graders, as well as work with your family this year! This will be my 4th year at Aurora and my 7th year as a school counselor. This school year will be filled with classroom guidance lessons, PBIS re-teach groups, small groups, and individual check-ins for students who may need it. My goal in the first weeks of the school year is to build relationships with all our students, as well as help them acclimate to the new school year!
Below you will find a google form that will allow you to share any important information about your childโs social/emotional needs or any information that would be helpful for me to know so that I can be as helpful as possible. On this form, there is an opportunity to inform me of any other needs your family may have such as clothing or school supply needs.

You may also email me if you have any other questions or concerns!
I am so eager to see you all soon and I am looking forward to a happy and successful school year!
Take care,
Mrs. Claudia Schnur

Craddock's Transportation/Attendance Google Form for 2026-2027
We do our best to funnel all communication about our students' transportation and absences through our Google form connected below through the QR code and below through a link. This GREATLY reduces the craziness in the office having to address these calls and/or emails and it also helps us ensure no communication falls through the cracks. If we are receiving it from multiple places, it gets harder to track on busy days!
If you have any need to report your child absent, late or needing an early dismissal, just enter it into our form. If you need to change your child's transportation at any time, just enter it into our form. The responses go right to Mrs. Kerchenski in our main office. If she has any questions at all after reading your entry, she will always reach out!
THANK YOU in advance for helping us streamline our processes and most importantly, for doing all you can to ensure we know where your child is and how they are getting home safely each day!
Medication Administration at Craddock
If your child will require any medication to be administered during the school day, they must have a doctor's note on file. We have included all the important medical forms that are necessary.
Additionally, if your child has their well-visit or dental exam this summer, you can either upload the medical forms into Final Forms or bring it to school at our Open House in the fall!
New doctorsโ orders and new medication will be required for each school year. You can locate all medication forms on our website at: www.aurora-schools.orgโdepartmentsโnursing services or download the forms from below!

Transportation Information from Mrs Wingler ๐
Happy August!
All students schedules are currently available through the MyRide K-12 App. How to access the App is located on the ACSD website under Departments/Transportation on the right side of the webpage. I have included the link below.
If any student is needing to be picked up or dropped off other than their home location, they MUST fill out an alternate bus stop form before we can transport and return to us by email, fax or dropping off at the office. That form is located in the same area as listed below on the webpage and is also included below.
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or concerns. My email is cwingler@aurora-schools.org.
Car Rider Information
You are the most important piece to ensuring these very important times of the day run smoothly! All of our procedures are in place to protect the safety of our students, staff and visitors. Thank you in advance for your efforts and patience!
ARRIVAL
- Drop off each morning can take place from 8:40-8:55 a.m. Students are not permitted to exit cars until 8:40. Thank you!
- Car riders need to be dropped off following the route detailed in the map below. It is a single file line formed down Hurd Rd. This is the same line used for pick up in the p.m.
- Students can only exit cars on the sidewalk side of the horseshoe. We ask that you please adjust car seats and/or child locks if needed. Parents stay in cars at all times.
- Staff will be outside daily to help students enter the building and navigate to their classroom.
DISMISSAL
- Car rider dismissal begins each day at 3:10, but will be 5-10 minutes earlier the first few weeks of school. Students will be called down as you arrive in our horseshoe. We do this electronically through a Google Doc that all of the staff are watching so they know when to dismiss each car rider.
- All car rider parents will be issued a tag for the backside of their passenger visor with their child's last name on it. These can be secured at Meet and Greet or throughout the school year.
- Parents remain in cars and students will be escorted to their car by a staff member.
- When everything is up and running after a few weeks, car rider dismissal usually takes approximately 15-20 minutes.
