I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Fall is definitely in the air!

As the weather gets colder, please remember to send your child to school with proper clothing such as a warm coat, hat, and gloves. Our students do go outside for recess, and fresh air and fun are always a good idea—even in chilly weather! If anyone is in need of a coat, or winter clothes, please click here.

And a quick note — Report Cards will be issued on December 4. We do not have a half day this week, but rather on December 4th for Parent Teacher Conferences

Dear Families,

We want to remind you that our school day begins promptly at 8:00 AM. At that time, classes leave the auditorium and cafeteria and proceed to their classrooms. Instruction starts right at 8:00 AM, so it’s important that students arrive on time.

Currently, the school yard gate has remained open until 8:05 AM, but this creates a safety concern as students walking in after 8:00 AM are unescorted. To ensure everyone’s safety, beginning Monday, November 17, the gate will close at 8:00 AM.

Here are a few key points:

The gate opens daily at 7:30 AM.

Once the gate is closed at 8:00 AM, please do not open it. Staff who supervise arrival will have moved to the main lobby.

Please do not send students through the Pre-K entrance.

Safety is always our top priority, and we appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a secure environment for all students.

What a Great Scholastic Book Fair—Thank You!

Thank you to all our PS88 families, and an extra-big thank-you to our amazing volunteers, for making this year’s Scholastic Book Fair such a success. Your time, generosity, and enthusiasm helped create a joyful week of reading discovery for our kids.

A quick note about eWallet balances: After the Fair, any remaining funds are automatically converted into a Scholastic eGift balance. You can use this balance to fund a new eWallet for a future Book Fair, shop for books online with Scholastic, or contribute to Share the Fair to help ensure every child gets a book.
