WELCOME TO TERM TWO! WELCOME TO TERM TWO!

Welcome to Term Two! It has been great chatting with students and parents as we have commenced the new school term.

I thank our staff for the work that has been undertaken leading up to the new term, ensuring a smooth start for our students.

As we are now in Term Two, students are to be in the correct school uniform.

Please see Ms Campbell's section of the newsletter for more information regarding our uniform expectations.

I also remind families to keep abreast of school information by checking our live school calendar regularly.

RAD REWARDS RAD REWARDS

Our new positive engagement initiative, RAD REWARDS has launched this week in Pre Primary to Year 6 with stage 1.

RAD REWARDS is all about focusing on rewarding students for displaying the school values and following school rules, using manners and showing random acts of kindness. RAD REWARDS is not about academic or sporting success, but your child may be recognised for showing perseverance, or resilience around subject matter.

RAD REWARDS is designed to provide the opportunity to encourage and reward ALL students to want to be the best they can be.

STAGE 1: RAFFLE TICKET

  • Students can earn as many raffle tickets as possible throughout the term.
  • Students write their NAME and CLASS on the raffle ticket and put it into the Raffle Ticket Box in the wet area for their year group.
  • At each MERIT ASSEMBLY, ONE raffle ticket is drawn from each of the year group raffle ticket boxes, and that student is invited to Lunch With Leadership (LWL).

More information about stage 2 will be in the next newsletter!

The Kimochis® Parent Information Session supports families to understand how Kimochis®, used in CEWA classrooms, helps children build emotional literacy, regulate big feelings and develop positive relationships, and how these skills can be supported and reinforced at home.

📅 Date: Monday 12/05/2026

🕕 Time: 6:00–7:00pm

💻 Platform: Microsoft Teams

In this session, parents and carers will:

  • Meet the Kimochis® characters and their unique personalities
  • Learn how Feeling Pillows support emotional understanding and regulation
  • Explore practical, everyday strategies to support social and emotional learning at home
  • Understand how home practices can complement Kimochis® learning at school

A virtual link will be sent out to families via Seesaw closer to the date.

We hope you are able to engage in this fantastic opportunity!

Containers for Change! Containers for Change!

Special bins have been placed in student's eating areas. These bins are for collecting 10 cent containers.

If you have a water bottle, can or carton with the 10c symbol on it, you can place it in the Containers for Change bin instead of the normal bin.

Every container we collect helps in two important ways:

It helps the environment by recycling.

And it raises money for our school.

The money we raise will go towards sustainability projects like improving our gardens, supporting our worm farm, and helping us become a more environmentally friendly school.

A Message From The Canteen Manager:

Hello my name is Kylie and I have been the Canteen Manager at St Brigid's Primary School for over 12 years.

I am looking for any mums, dad, grandparents or careers who can spare some time to help out in the canteen. If you can't help for the entire day, that's not a problem, we would be grateful for anytime you can offer. The busiest time in the canteen is between 11.15am to 12.30pm. I find that the children love seeing there loved ones in the canteen it always bring a bit of fun into there day.

As a little "thank you" for your help, the canteen will provide you with lunch, a cold drink and bottomless cups of tea/coffee. Any additional information please feel free to come and see me in the canteen, I am happy to have a chat with you.
