Today, students continued their clubs and their passion DIVE projects. They began constructing their quarter quest carnival. Students worked in teams of 3–5 to create a carnival booth for Quarter Quest. Throughout the project they will practiced collaboration, engineering design, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, communication, customer service, and problem solving.

Each carnival visitor receives 20 Quarter Quest Dollars to spend at the booths. Teams compete to earn the highest net profit while providing an engaging customer experience.

For our eDCSD Online 9th grade students, this password reset has been scheduled for Blended Learning on September 15th. Communication Device/Cell Phone Policy Update

This spring, the DCSD Board of Education voted to adopt a policy on Student Use of Communication Devices in Schools. Here's what this means for students at eDCSD:

High Schools: At eDCSD high school students with communication devices must keep them silenced (no vibration or sound), stored and not used during Blended Learning from 9am-12pm (unless instructed to use them by teachers).

In addition, for the comfort and privacy of all students, all communications devices must be stowed away before entering bathrooms, locker rooms, or personal spaces. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Smartphones
  • Smartwatches
  • Smart glasses
  • Other communication devices

Learn more about what the policy means for schools, how it will be implemented in our school district and ways families can support students in developing healthy habits around phones, smartwatches and other devices.

Due Date Policy 2026 - 2027

At eDCSD, our goal is to help students develop healthy work habits and time management skills.

Work each week will be assigned on Wednesday morning and will be due the following Tuesday night at 11:59 PM.

For most assignments, students will be able to submit the work for an additional two weeks after the Tuesday night deadline. After an assignment has been open for 3 weeks, the assignment will close and will no longer be available for submission. *There are some exceptions for synchronous assignments such as virtual class activities and PE logs.

We hope that this policy helps to encourage students to work synchronously with the class while still allowing for the flexibility that eDCSD families desire.

You may view the policy here.

Express Check In 2026

K-8, eSTAR, and Base students should have completed Express Check-In through their neighborhood school/Primary Line of Enrollment. Since the neighborhood school is the Primary Line of Enrollment, they will be accepting all new information for 26/27 (address, email, telephone number changes, etc). If you have not completed this process, please do so ASAP.

All Summit students should have received 26/27 registration paperwork by email earlier this week. eDCSD is not included in express check in and will complete this paperwork instead. Please complete and return by email or in person by Wednesday, September 9th. Summit students do not complete Express Check In.

All families with full time enrollment with eDCSD will receive an Online Affidavit via from their primary school. Summit students received this Online Affidavit with their registration paperwork.

All student fees for the 26/27 school year should have been paid in MySchoolBucks. If you have not done this, please do so ASAP.

If you do not plan to return to eDCSD for the 26/27 school year, please email ddees@dcsdk12.org.
