Monthly Update - October
Ahhhh....October is here. This is my favorite month of the year! Our students are used to the routines and expectations and working hard and steadily every day. We are having a great year!
Parent-Teacher conferences will be here soon. We have been able to schedule a lot of interpreters for those who need them, but some conferences may also take place with a tele-interpreter on the computer. I apologize for the inconvenience, but I am very appreciative for technology in these circumstances. Thank you for being patience with this!
The quickest, easiest way to communicate with us is by using the 'Talking Points' application for families. Please make sure to download it for easy texting and communication in your home language. The texting function will disappear soon, so you will need to have the application to communicate with us.
Thank you,
Mrs. Fraser and Mrs. Johnson

Montclair's English Language Teachers
Mrs. Fraser
Why am I a teacher?
I am a teacher because my 8th grade English teacher was one of my favorite people in the world and I wanted to be just like her. She inspired me to be a good person, so I wanted to inspire others to be the same. Also, I love spending my days with kids! I especially love spending my days with kids who come from all over the world and who speak different languages. I love to travel, but they teach me so much about our world right here at home!
What am I excited about this year?
I'm excited to continue to create strong relationships with my students and their families. I have enjoyed hearing their stories and learning from them.
What do I like to do on the weekends?
I love to hike, kayak, garden, and keep honey bees with my family. You will also find me reading and practicing yoga. I also looove to travel and am always ready for an adventure!

Why am I a teacher?
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was in Fourth grade because I loved my teacher and had so much fun in her class. She made us feel safe, special, and loved every day. I want to be able to do that for the students that I teach now. I love to learn about different cultures, beliefs, languages, and want every student to feel like they belong and are loved.
What am I excited about this year?
I am excited to continue getting to know our students and families better. I am excited to watch everyones English progress and see all the great things that the kids will do this school year!
What do I like to do on the weekends?
On the weekends I enjoy spending time with my family going to parks, the zoo, and doing art activities.
