As we move into this time of year, many of us begin to notice a familiar pattern—students start to act a little more like siblings at home. There may be more bickering, big emotions, and moments of frustration with each other. In recent weeks we have seen an uptick in students using unkind words toward each other and difficulty keeping our hands to ourselves when emotions arise.
At school, we are focusing on helping students treat one another with kindness, patience, and respect. We are reminding them that every student deserves to feel safe, valued, and supported.
We ask for your partnership in reinforcing these same expectations at home. Simple conversations about empathy, using kind words, and making positive choices can go a long way in helping students carry these values into the classroom.
At our school, we proudly follow our Buckaroo Be expectations:
Be Respectful
Be Responsible
Be Safe
When students consistently practice these behaviors—both at school and at home—they help create a positive environment where everyone can learn and grow.
Thank you for your continued support and for working with us as a team.
Pre-k Pick Up
Pre-K Dismissal Reminder
Pre-K parent pick-up begins promptly at 2:50 PM each school day. To help ensure a smooth and safe dismissal for all students, it is very important that families arrive on time. When pick-up is late, it creates delays and safety concerns for the rest of the school’s dismissal process.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us keep dismissal running smoothly for everyone!
Community Use of School on Weekends
We are proud to open our school to community events on weekends and appreciate everyone who helps make these activities positive and safe. To protect our students’ learning spaces and ensure the building remains in good condition, we ask that all participants follow these expectations:
All participants must remain in the gym during the event.
The rest of the building is off limits.
Students must be supervised at all times by a responsible adult.
Please respect school property—recent damage to classrooms and hallways has made it necessary to reinforce these guidelines.
Your cooperation helps us continue offering our school as a community space while keeping it safe and welcoming for everyone. Thank you for your understanding and support.

• I have NOT had a fever overnight and have NOT taken fever reducing
medicine during that time.
• I have a mild stomach ache.
• I have a mild rash and no other symptoms.

• I just don't want to go

Badges are reguired for all students
Bus riders must have a badge to ride
If your child rides the bus, please check their backpack and make sure their badge is attached to the backpack for easy scanning on and off the bus.
Badges are essential to student safety!
You may see the following letter coming home with your student if they have lost their school ID badge.
You can pay for a replacement badge on the Webstore.
If you have received this communication, your son or daughter have misplaced their issued
school badge. We kindly ask that you go to the webstore via the Wimberley ISD website or use
the QR code below and purchase them a new one.
These badges are used throughout the school and when your student is on a field trip.
Thank you in advance.
