OUSD offers Short-Term Independent Study for eligible absences, allowing students to complete assigned work at home for 1–15 days per school year (students with an IEP may initially be approved for up to 10 days, with additional days requiring an IEP Team meeting). Please contact your school office to request Independent Study, preferably at least five school days in advance when possible, to help your student stay connected to learning and minimize missed instructional time.
