It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of John Mawk, a valued member of the Blue River Valley Schools community, on February 15, 2026.
Coach Mawk dedicated nearly 50 years of his life to serving our students as a coach, mentor, and supporter of young people. He believed deeply in Blue River Valley and in the power of relationships. His presence at games, practices, and community events was constant, and his love for our students was unmistakable. Generations of students and families were shaped by his commitment to our school and our community. He leaves behind a legacy of service, leadership, and care that will not be forgotten.
We extend our deepest sympathy to Coach Mawk’s family and loved ones during this difficult time. Blue River Valley is better because of John Mawk.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Dickerson
