Welcome Back, Ramblers!
A Message from the Principal
Dear FHS Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2026–27 school year! Whether you are joining us for the first time or returning for another year, we are excited to welcome you to Fraser High School. Our purpose is simple: every student should be known, supported, challenged, and prepared for life beyond graduation.
At FHS, RISE is more than an acronym—it is how we learn, lead, and treat one another. We show Respect in our words and actions. We demonstrate Integrity by doing what is right. We build Self-Discipline through responsible choices. We stay Engaged by participating, asking questions, and contributing to our school community.
A strong school year begins with clear expectations and shared responsibility. Please review the personal-device and clear-backpack information in this newsletter, talk through it as a family, and mark the important dates on your calendar. These expectations help us protect instructional time, strengthen relationships, and keep FHS safe and focused.
We are proud to partner with you. Let’s make this a year of growth, belonging, achievement, and Rambler pride.
Ryan D. Sines, Ed.S.
Principal, Fraser High School
Fraser High School Drop off and Pickup
Hello Fraser Families:
As we look forward to another school year, please take a moment to review the process that we have in place for traffic flow in our parking lots, so that everyone can enter and exit as quickly and efficiently as possible.
- If you live in our bussing area, please have your child take the bus.
- If you need to drop your student off, please try to do so before 7:10. There is very little waiting at that time.
- Please use the Klein Road parking lot for drop off. This parking lot is usually much less congested.
- If you use the Garfield parking lot, please pull to the curb to drop your child off, and then proceed down past the main entrance before turning left to get in line to exit. Please do not use the parking lanes before the main entrance to enter the exit line.
I know that waiting in line can be frustrating, but if we all work together and follow the above expectations, the process should be better for everyone.
Thank you for your help and support.

Wireless Communication Devices
Off, Silent, and Out of Sight
The Fraser Public Schools 7–12 Wireless Communication Device Policy applies throughout the entire building during school hours. This includes classrooms, hallways, passing time, and lunch.
Throughout the Entire Building - NO pictures • NO phone calls • NO texting • NO social media
· Silence your phone or turn it off during school hours.
· Keep it out of sight or secure it in your student locker.
· No personal technology is allowed during passing time or lunch.
· Devices may be used for classroom work only when staff determine it isappropriate.
· Earbuds/headphones are for appropriate academic use only and must follow staff directions.
· Smart glasses are not permitted.
· Smart watches may be worn but must be used appropriately.
· Medically necessary devices and IEP/Section 504 accommodations are permitted.
Our goal is not to be anti-technology. A Wireless Communication Device free school day helps protect focus, reduce classroom disruptions, support healthier peer interaction, and strengthen student well-being.
If the Policy Is Not Followed:
1st Offense
Warning and parent/guardian communication by the teacher. Managed in the classroom.
2nd Offense
Parent/guardian communication by the teacher; phone locked in the office until the end of the day.
3rd+ Offense
Phone locked in the office; a parent or guardian must pick it up.
Policy note: Disciplinary measures apply only when a student refuses to turn in a device for the remainder of the day or is frequently negligent regarding the policy. A replacement fee is issued for lost keys.
We recognize that these routines may require adjustment, and we appreciate your support in talking with your student before the school year begins. When families and school staff work together with clear and consistent expectations, we create a safer, more focused, and more connected school environment for everyone.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support of Fraser High School.
Clear Backpacks
To support a safe, orderly learning environment, students may carry only clear backpacks during the school day. Students should use their assigned lockers to store personal items and materials that do not need to travel from class to class.
· Bring only a clear backpack to school; non-clear backpacks should remain at home.
· Use your locker throughout the day to reduce what you carry.
· Keep the backpack free of prohibited items and organized for quick visibility.
· Students needing a medical or disability-related accommodation should contact the school so an appropriate plan can be arranged.
Family Checklist Before August 31
- Review the device policy together
- Obtain a clear backpack
- Practice the locker combination
- Arrive ready to RISE
