Dear HMS Families,
As you can imagine, our middle school was a very lively place today. Lots of excitement as we head into the long weekend.
If you were able to join us for our back to school nights in September, you may recall me talking about conversations with students regarding where we see our mission statement in action. Well, I can tell you that today was awesome; so many students wishing each other, their teachers, and other staff members a happy Thanksgiving. There were also many learning opportunities taking place in classrooms that focused on gratitude and giving thanks.
I realize how fortunate I am to be serving the students at HMS, and want you to know how grateful I am to be supported by this community. The positivity and support you show our staff is truly appreciated.
Regardless of your plans for this weekend, I hope you are able to enjoy time together as a family. Fun, laughter and family are the best parts of this holiday. Along with our Assistant Principals, Ann Benbenek and Lauren McDonough, I wish you a very Happy Thanksgiving!
