Students of the Month
Congratulations to all of our Students of the Month! Orlariah in kindergarten, Decker in first grade, Gracie and Madilynn in second grade, Veanna in third grade, Owen in fourth grade, Melody in fifth grade, Ryder and Richard in sixth grade, Landon and Arianna in reading, and the entire first grade class earned the golden sneaker in PE! Keep up the hard work students, we are so proud of your effort!
Sixth Grade Crawdad Dissection
Sixth grade science is all about dissection! This week they got to learn the parts of a crawdad and use their surgeon skills to open up and look inside of the crayfish. Their dissection lab taught them about the respiratory and circulatory systems of the animal. I'm not sure we have convinced any of them to become future surgeons yet, but they will have more opportunities to decide!
Fourth Grade Readers
Fourth grade students have started reading the book, Because of Winn Dixie. They are thoroughly enjoying the book and complained when it was time to stop reading!
PE Fun
Volleyball has started in PE! Students are warming up with student leaders and having fun learning volleyball skills!
Stained Glass Completions
Ethny and Wyatt finished their stained glass projects with Mr. Baily this week! The sixth graders race across the field each Friday and work hard to make beautiful creations at the Home Link building. We are so happy that Mr. Baily is sharing his talents with our students!
Monthly House Assembly
Congratulations to House Sollevare! Together they have earned the most house points for the month of October and will get a dance party next Thursday. During our assembly, we honored students of the month, perfect attendance for the month, and played a game selected and organized by our house leaders. Ryder and Taryn stacked their cups the highest and earned points for their house!
Kindergarten Learns How Other Countries Celebrate Holidays
The first holiday that kindergarteners learned about was Dia Day Muertos. The multi-day holiday involves family and friends gathering to pay respects and remember friends and family members who have died. The students learned about this colorful holiday and drew pictures to remember important animals and family members in their lives.
Thankful for Wonderful Families
Buddy Brown, a parent of two of our students took two days this week to change out snow tires for any of our staff FOR FREE! Thank you so much for giving your time and expertise to help our staff travel to school safely this winter season. Buddy was amazing! If you need your tires changed out for the season, give him a call!

After Hours Staff Fun
We have a wonderful climate committee who works hard to make it fun to come to work. They organize treats and birthday cards for their colleagues to celebrate their special day, staff potlucks, and fun events like this "Catch the Cup" event. If the staff member caught the cup, the principal had to sub for them for an hour.
