AMS Athletics Information

Please see the information below regarding Aspen Middle School athletics for the 25 - 26 school year. The focus of AMS athletics is sportsmanship, skill development, and teamwork. AMS athletics has a "No Cut" policy - meaning every student has the opportunity to participate.

Please check the AMS athletic pages for more information regarding practice and game schedules. There will be a parent meeting held at the beginning of the season for each sport to discuss the student-athlete/parent handbook.

Each student participating in athletics must turn in a completed physical form and a signed parent - permission for prior to the first practice. Athletic forms can be found here.

Please send a copy of your student's physical form and parent permission form to AMS Athletic Director, Jeremy Haack, at jhaack@aspenk12.net. The forms can also be dropped by the AMS front office or turned in to the coach at the first practice.

• There is a $50.00 athletic participation fee required of each student. The fee can be paid online on your student's efunds account, or by cash or check.
• Registration for athletics will begin the first week of practice. There is no early registration.
  
  

5th ~ 8th Grade Boys' and Girls' Cross Country

Practice for 5th ~ 8th grade boys and girls will begin Monday, August 25th from 3:30pm - 5:00pm. For questions or more information, please reach out to Head Coach, Annie Thompson, at athompson@aspenk12.net . Please check the AMS Cross Country webpage in August for updated information.

7th/8th Grade Football

Football practice for 7th and 8th grade students will be held from 3:45pm - 5:45pm beginning Monday, August 11th. Equipment is provided, with the exception of cleats. Please check the AMS Football webpage in August for updated information. Please contact Three Rivers Youth Football Association for information regarding 5th and 6th grade students.

7th/8th Girls' Volleyball

Volleyball practice for 7th and 8th grade girls will begin Monday, August 11th. Please check the AMS volleyball webpage in August for updated practice schedules. Uniforms are provided, with the exception of volleyball kneepads.

7th/8th Boys' Basketball

7th and 8th grade boys' basketball practice will begin Monday, October 13th.

7th/8th Girls' Basketball

7th and 8th grade girls' basketball practice will begin Monday, December 8th.

5th thru 8th Grade Boys' and Girls' Track and Field

5th thru 8th grade track and field practice will begin in mid-March 2026.
