Attendance is Important to Us!
Coupeville Elementary New Beginning!
Coupeville Elementary had a very special first day of school as we welcomed our newest wolf pups—this year’s kindergarteners!
Families gathered in the commons for the PTA’s annual Boo-Hoo/Woo-Hoo Breakfast, sharing donuts, coffee, and plenty of encouragement before the big moment. Cameras clicked, hugs were given, and with smiles (and a few happy tears), our youngest learners stepped into their classrooms to begin their Coupeville journey. We’re so excited to see all they will learn and discover this year!
Strong Start!
Wolf Pack WEB Leaders Welcome 6th Graders
On the morning of Friday, August 29, our eighth-grade WEB Leaders rolled out the red carpet (and a cloud of bubbles!) to welcome fresh-faced sixth graders into the Coupeville High School gym. The newest members of the Wolf Pack were greeted with cheers, smiles, and a whole lot of positive energy to kick off the big day. The morning’s activities were coordinated by Middle School Science Teachers Mr. Purdue and Ms. Willeford, along with Student and Family Resources Coordinator Ms. Bumgarner. Ms. Willeford led the high-energy activities that got everyone laughing, moving, and excited for what’s ahead. Middle School Principal Rebecca Cays also greeted the sixth graders before they broke out into small groups for the rest of the morning’s events.
So, what is WEB? WEB (short for Where Everybody Belongs) is a middle school transition program that pairs selected 8th graders—our WEB Leaders—with incoming 6th graders. It’s all about helping new students feel comfortable, connected, and supported during their first year. Through orientation activities, classroom check-ins, and fun social events, WEB builds a positive school culture, prevents bullying, and grows future leaders. Welcome, 6th graders—you belong here! 🐺✨
