THE BEAR ESSENTIALS
Week of October 20, 2025
Hello, Bear Families
Students are fully engaged in their learning, and this time of year is a great opportunity to check in on their progress and stay connected.
We encourage all parents and guardians to regularly check Parent Connect and ParentSquare to stay informed about grades, attendance, assignments, and important school updates.
Parent Connect is updated in real time, meaning as soon as teachers enter grades or attendance, you can view them immediately. Staying on top of these updates helps students stay accountable and ensures there are no surprises at report card time!
📱 How to Download Parent Connect on Your Phone
-
Go to your phone’s app store:
-
For iPhones, open the App Store.

-
Download and install the app.
-
Open the app and select your school district.
-
Log in using the same username and password you use on the desktop version.
-
Once signed in, you’ll be able to view your child’s grades, assignments, attendance, and teacher communication — all in one place.
đź’¬ Stay Connected
Don’t forget to also check ParentSquare for school announcements, messages from teachers, and upcoming events. Together, we can ensure every student continues to thrive this fall.

Student Pick-up
Our neighboring businesses have reached out for assistance regarding parking concerns. Some have noticed that parents are using their parking lots for student pick-up, which has created issues for them.
Let’s be good neighbors and help maintain a positive relationship with the businesses in our community! We kindly ask that you pick up your child on 5th Street or in the school’s designated parking areas at the front and rear of the campus. Please be aware that violators may be ticketed by the police department, so it's important to follow these guidelines.

Donations Needed for Our PBIS Program
PBIS is in need of your help! We are seeking prize donations, such as gift cards and other items, for our Bear Buck program. Each month, teachers recognize students who display virtuous or positive behavior by awarding them Bear Bucks. At the end of each month, these students are entered into a raffle to win exciting prizes.
If you're willing to contribute, please send your prize donations to Mrs. Kirchoff, Mrs. Granata, or drop them off at to Mrs. Morris at the front desk, making sure to let Mrs. Morris know they are for PBIS. Thank you for your continued support in encouraging positive behavior among our students!
Join Our Robotics Team
