Reminder students can not carry any medications with them in school. This includes cough drops and over the counter medications like Tylenol, Ibuprofen, vitamins, or supplements. If your student needs to have medication or needs a cough drop, Tylenol or Ibuprofen, they can visit the health room for these medications.

The health room does not have any allergy/cold medicine. If your child needs allergy/cold medicine please be sure that they are taking it prior to coming to school and that it will last for 8 hours to get the student through the day.

If you have a student that is in 11th grade, please turn in their physical forms to the health office along with an updated immunization form if you have not already done so.

HEALTH ROOM REMINDERS

FEVER

Your child must be fever free for 24 hrs before going to school. This is without the use of medication. As a reminder the health room will be sending students home if they have a fever of 100.4 or higher.

VOMITING/DIARRHEA

Your child must be free from vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hrs before going to school. This is without medication. As a reminder the health room will be sending students home if they are vomiting or having diarrhea.

IMPETIGO

Please be sure that your student(s) are eating breakfast in the morning so that they can have the fuel they need to get through the morning and be ready to learn. All students may get one breakfast for free each day this year in the cafeteria. Please remind students to stop by and grab something to eat.

As the weather is changing and the temperatures can be unpredictable please encourage your student to dress appropriately for the weather. Also please be sure that your student is carrying a water bottle to be filled throughout the day so that they can stay hydrated.

Remember that by practicing good health hygiene (washing hands, covering sneezes and coughs) will help to protect everyone from the cold and flu season that will be upon us quickly.

The fall season is well underway, and our student-athletes are making Littlestown proud with their effort, determination, and success across all sports. The first few weeks of competition have already brought exciting moments, from thrilling overtime victories to outstanding individual performances.

On the golf course, Littlestown athletes shined at the YAIAA Golf Tournament, where sophomores Mason Peart (1st place) and Landon Bossom (2nd place) showcased their talent and advanced to postseason play. Their success is a testament to the dedication and focus they’ve put into representing our school at the highest level.

In field hockey, senior standout Reese Rucker reached an incredible milestone by scoring her 100th career point; a remarkable achievement that highlights her talent, dedication, and impact on the program.

On the fields and courts, our teams continue to battle each week, chasing district playoff opportunities while demonstrating resilience and teamwork. Big wins, such as the volleyball win over Delone….the first time in 5 years and the Homecoming football win over Hanover, have energized players, coaches, and fans alike, reminding us of the excitement that comes with competing at a high level and never giving up until the very last whistle.

As the season progresses, the Littlestown community remains proud of the way our student-athletes are competing, both in victory and in the way they handle challenges. Their hard work, sportsmanship, and commitment reflect the true spirit of what it means to wear the Bolt uniform. We look forward to more memorable moments this fall as our teams continue their push toward postseason success.

Thank you to Halo Photography for capturing our student/athletes in action.

🌽 FFA Sweet Corn Day! 🌽

LHS Plant Science classes organized and taught 7 different lessons about corn and how it is produced to the Alloway Creek Elementary School. Lessons included the story of Kerby corn to the kindergarten classes, corn products, corn biology, corn trivia, corn math, corn diseases, corn types, and corn growing equipment. Students were trying to meet their 15 minute presentation requirement for the FFA to receive their Chapter Degree.

Students and staff in all 3 buildings were also served an ear of sweet corn for free with their lunch. The corn was grown in our very own student grown corn field.

A BIG shout out to Rebecca Lee and Sam from Growmark F.S. East Berlin for bringing in a Fendt sprayer with 90 foot booms, Matt Kehr-Channel Seed for bringing in the John Deere 4455 with the 8 row corn planter, and Nathan Grove- Flicker Hill Farm for bringing in the John Deere combine with the 8 row corn head. The equipment seemed to be a big hit for the students.
