District 5 Transitioning to Digital School Report Cards

Starting this school year (2026–2027), District 5 will distribute all report cards electronically through the PowerSchool Parent Portal. To ensure student data privacy and security, printed report cards will no longer be sent home with students. Moving forward, historical report cards for every term your student is enrolled in District 5 will remain accessible in the portal.

Accessing Your Child’s Report Card

When report cards are published at the end of each grading period, parents and guardians will receive a notification email. To view official report cards:

  1. Visit the PowerSchool Parent Portal in a web browser: https://lexrich5.powerschool.com/public.

  2. Sign in to your Parent account.

Please note: Official report card documents are only available via a web browser, not through the PowerSchool mobile app (though current grades are always visible in the app).

Troubleshooting & Parent vs. Student Accounts

Parents and students have separate login portals. If you do not see the student scheduling information or report card link upon logging in, you may be signed into a student account. You can verify which account you are using by checking the name displayed in the top-right corner of the screen. For help with your Parent Portal account, please reach out to your child’s school registrar.

Requesting a Printed Copy

If you require a paper copy of your child’s report card, please contact their school directly to arrange a pickup at the front office.

Celebrating Our International Baccalaureate Students

On October 15, Irmo High School International School for the Arts celebrated a milestone: our International Baccalaureate Pinning Ceremony! This event officially welcomed our first-year IB students into the programme and recognized their commitment to academic excellence, leadership, and personal growth.

What made this celebration even more special was that our IB seniors planned and led the ceremony, presenting pins to our newest IB students as a symbol of unity, pride, and the journey ahead. We were excited to welcome families, IB alumni, special guests, and students from our Escolares magnet pathway to share in this memorable occasion.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration a success! We are proud of our students and look forward to watching them continue to grow as scholars and leaders.

Important School Information Important School Information

Cell Phones & Headphones

School District 5 Cell Phone Policy

During the school day, students are prohibited from accessing their personal electronic devices. Students may not utilize the function of electronic communication on device accessories during the school day. Students must store away and silence their devices and/or device accessories in lockers, backpacks, or otherwise as directed by the school district during the school day. Exceptions granted for other authorized reasons (i.e. emergency situations) will be determined by the school district.

This policy includes cell phones, personal computers, tablets, gaming devices, headphones, and other accessories.

Identification (ID) Badges

All Irmo High students must wear a current picture ID badge when on District Five property. ID cards are printed on both sides with the same information.

  1. IDs must be worn at all times.

  2. IDs must be visible and worn outside of clothing.

  3. Picture, name and barcode must be visible.

ID badges must be clearly visible and worn in front above the waist and below the neck on a breakaway lanyard. In a pocket, or under a jacket is NOT clearly visible. The ID badge may not be marked on or altered in any way; if it is damaged, a new ID will need to be purchased. A defaced ID is any badge on which the picture, name, ID #, year, barcode or grade level has been changed, altered, or obstructed.

The first ID badge is free. However, replacing lost, stolen or damaged cards costs $5.00. The replacement fee covers the cost of the materials used in reprinting and replacement lanyards.

Student Drop Off/Pick Up

Car riders, late arrivals, and early dismissals should be dropped off and picked up from the car rider line in front of the West Wing/Attendance area and the CFA. Enter at the light on St. Andrews Road across from the practice fields. This is the only location for student drop off/pick up. Please do not drop off students in the bus loop, behind the school, or in front of the main entrance.
