Dear Parents and Guardians,
October is Mental Health Awareness month, a time dedicated to bringing attention to mental health, reducing the stigma, and supporting those who may be struggling.
Throughout the month, our staff will be sharing age-appropriate lessons and activities that encourage students to talk about their feelings, recognize signs of distress, and know where to find support. Our goal is to let every student know they are not alone and that support is always available.
We encourage you to continue these conversations at home. Simple check-ins - asking how your child is feeling, listening without judgment, and reassuring them that seeking help is a sign of strength – Can make a difference.
If you have concerns about your child’s mental health or would like resources, please do not hesitate to reach out. If you ever need immediate help, you can call or text 988 for the Sucicide & Crisis Lifeline, available 24/7.
Together, we can create a community where every student feels valued, supported, and hopeful.
With care,
Christa Holt - Physical Education Teacher
