A Message from the Principal!

**Vision Screening will be completed for all 6th grade students and new HMS students March 23 & 24, 2026. Please contact Mrs. Creel, School Nurse, at plcreel@k12.wv.us or 304-754-3313 if you have any questions or wish for your student NOT to be screened.

Reminder to all parents of 6th graders. The Tdap and Meningitis vaccine is required for all students entering 7th Grade. Please make your appointment now to have these completed and submit an updated copy of your child's immunization record to Mrs. Creel, School Nurse.

March 24th - Battle of the Books (select students)

March 27th - End of the Unified Arts rotation

March 30th - Start of the Last Unified Arts rotation

April 1st - 2-hour delay - Teacher Faculty Senate

April 3rd - Get A Life program (All 8th grade students)

April 6th - April 10th - Spring Break - No School

April 15th - Spring Pictures (No Make Ups)

April 20th - Interims

April 23rd - 8th grade Day on the Job

April 23rd - LSIC meeting @ 9:30 in the library

Please talk to your student about the importance of these assessments.

It is important to be on time, well rested, and give the best effort on each test.
