Family Chapel this Sunday

This Sunday children and families will not be sung out from the sanctuary. Come straight back to the RE wing for 9:15 Spirit Play class and for 11:00 Family Chapel.

Family Chapel is a time for families to engage with child-friendly worship together, and is designed to be experienced together. However, no child will be turned away who attends solo if parents need or want to be in the other worship service or are volunteering elsewhere this week.

This month's chapel will introduce our theme for this month: Prophetic People, Who Shows Us the Way?

Join us to worship together, learn hymns you can sing at home, engage with family conversation or create a Hero Doll to take home and put on your altar or family table, and more!

For youth this Sunday:

  • Middle School youth will be meeting to start the Neighboring Faiths program this Sunday, with an exploration and overview of other faiths. Meeting at 11:00 in the youth room.
  • High School youth are invited to a casual "no host" sign making station for their upcoming sign waving in support of i1639. Sign making supplies and snacks will be available at 12:30 a classroom (TBA).
  • Auditions are being held for the youth-directed holiday play this Sunday, 12:30!

It's time to register for 2018-2019 programs

If you have not already done so, please take some time this week to complete the registration form for the new program year.

Sunday and Every Day: Taking It Home Sunday and Every Day: Taking It Home

Classes on September 30th finished our month-long theme of Covenant with a Service Sunday. We had asked "how will we be together", and this was our chance to act out our answers.

The kids gave back to the community through service project stations: sorting and recycling the markers, making Get Well cards, and assembling new furniture. They did great!

At home, how do you each give back to the family? What chores could each family member do?What chores are age appropriate?

Help Out!

Everyone is needed to make our beloved community work! Here are some ways you can help our children and youth programs now:

1) Donate Snacks. Healthy and yummy snacks build community and keep our kiddos happy! You can bring non-perishable snacks to stash in the RE cupboard in the kitchen, or sign up to bring a healthy fresh snack on a given Sunday.

Our snack cupboard is already almost empty, so this would actually help out a lot!
