Converse ES All Stars: Growing Together, Achieving More!
Week of February 16, 2026
Principal's Message
Dear Families,
It is an honor to continue serving our community in this new role as Interim Principal for the remainder of the school year. Having worked closely with your children and our talented staff as Assistant Principal, I am eager to build upon the strong foundation we have established together.
We are on the right track, and I am incredibly proud of the progress our students have made so far. However, we still have important work to do to ensure every child reaches their full potential before summer. As we move forward, my promise to you is simple: your children and their learning will remain at the very center of every decision we make.
I value our partnership and look forward to a strong finish to the year. Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education.
Warmly,
Heather Schumacher
Interim Principal

Character Trait Of The Month
Throughout the year, staff will be recognizing students who demonstrate different character traits each month. At the end of each month, teachers will select one student from their class who has best exemplified that month's trait to be celebrated and awarded a certificate in recognition of their character.
February's Character Trait: Fairness
This February at Converse, we are focusing on Fairness. We often tell our students that fairness isn't everyone getting the same thing, but everyone getting what they need to be successful.
Home Responsibilities
Focuses on how fairness applies to family chores and teamwork.
Contributing to the Whole: Discuss how a fair household doesn't mean everyone does the same chore, but everyone does their part to help the family succeed.
The "Needs vs. Wants" Chat: Use grocery shopping or weekend planning to show that fairness sometimes means one person gets a new pair of shoes because they outgrew theirs, while another gets a book they’ve been wanting.
When children see fairness modeled at home, they bring that spirit of inclusion and respect back to our classrooms!
