EVERY CHILD. EVERY DAY. EVERY CHILD. EVERY DAY.

Stay in the know...

💙 This week, we are honored to celebrate two of the most fantastic people in our school as we celebrate Administrative Professional's Day. Thank you, Mallory and Leath Ann, for all you do to keep our school and lunch room running effectively and efficiently all day, each day. We appreciate you more than we could ever show! There will be lots of extra food in the lounge that day--plan accordingly!

💛 Our fabulous Elementary Art Show & Book Bonanza are coming up on May 17th! Please note that the gym will be set up for this special event as we proceed through the day. Because of this, students will need to eat lunch in their classrooms that day. Please plan to talk with your students about this (and cross your fingers for a nice day when most can eat outside!). Our students will each get to select 8 books from various genres, will receive a math bag from PTO, and will receive their summer learning challenge information. Our Y5 students will receive a packet of pre-selected books. Bags will be provided by Scholastic to put all of their goodies in. It's going to be amazing!

💙 Please plan to take all artwork and student work down from the hallways by May 1. This will allow Rachel time to set up for the art show. She will need all of the upper bulletin boards on the 2nd floor and will look for wall space on the 1st floor. This will be a great deal of work, so thank you for helping with this request!

💛 The schedule has been set for our Kiwanis Park Day. I have spoken to all teams. Thank you for your flexibility with scheduling this year. Now that I know this is part of our end-of-the-year routine, we can get this scheduled much earlier in the year. (See Schedule Below) Times can be adjusted as needed for your group. Please add your grade level park time to the Lincoln Staff Calendar so we are all up to date on school events that time of year. Thank you!

Wrapping Up Tutoring Sessions

Please be sure to communicate to families that tutoring will be finished on 5/26. You can adjust your schedules as you see fit, but please do not schedule any sessions after the 26th. Our students have greatly benefited from this time, and we thank all of our tutors for their hard work.

Volunteer Appreciation

April is volunteer appreciation month. Now would be a great time to acknowledge any of your volunteers that visit your classroom on a regular basis. Show some love and gratitude and let them know what a difference they make for our students and you! Don't forget your JA volunteers!

Bus Driver Appreciation

Please don't forget Bus Driver Appreciation Day on Tuesday. Please have your students write a sentence or two of gratitude on a gratitude slip that was put in your mailbox. Make more copies if needed, but each bus rider in your class should have one. On the 25th, please have your bus students carry their slips to the bus and hand them to the bus driver with a big "Thank you!". I will provide gratitude jars for the drivers to keep their notes in.

Nurse's Week

We are partnering with Corwell Health to celebrate Nurse's Week! Please consider having your class make cards to thank them and shower them with kindness. You can turn your cards into the office by April 28! Please be sure to read the cards carefully so we know they are appropriate. Some ideas and examples for students would help as well.

💙 Shout Outs and Gratitude! 💛 💙 Shout Outs and Gratitude! 💛

Mandy--Thank you for stretching out of your comfort zone and thinking about student needs. You did very thoughtful and responsive work this week!

Rachel--You are a caring and thoughtful mentor. You are very appreciated!

BEAR Team, Sped Team--Wow! Thank you isn't enough for your ability to adjust your schedules and support our students with M-STEP.

Lower Elementary Staff--We know your schedules have been greatly affected by M-STEP testing. Your flexibility is appreciated so much. We know this is a hardship, and yet you have supported our school culture of trust by staying positive. 💙💛
