Coming Back Together After a Long Weekend!

What a week to be a WOLF!! This week our students continued to build relationships within their classroom communities, explored curriculum through diagnostic assessments, and really showed us what it means to be a member of CCSL Elementary! I want to thank all of you once again for your efforts this week is ensuring a safe dismissal during a very unexpected event on Wednesday. With your cooperation, communication, and dedication partnered with our amazing CCSL staff all of our students got home safely. Our students were open in talking through the situation and were happy to know how many people are here to support them!

Celebrating Our Students Always

Next week we are going to kick off our PBIS Incentive! All staff will be looking for students who are being a W.O.L.F (Working Responsibly, Owning Our Choices, Loving Learning, Friendship) Students will receive a WOLF Note from staff members and will be recognized within their classrooms for their amazing efforts! Each week, students will be highlighted on our WOLF Wall in the elementary hallway where they can see each other's WOLF notes and praise one another for their efforts. At the end of every month, there will be one student from each class who demonstrates all four core values recognized at an assembly! We are so excited to show off all the amazing work our students are doing and cannot wait to partner with you in making this happen!

Wolfie's Closet Wolfie's Closet

Help Support Our Students

We’re excited to share a resource at our school: Wolfie’s Closet — a place where students in need can access free school uniforms and a limited supply of toiletries and non-uniform clothing.
Whether a student is in need of a uniform or a warm layer for the winter, Wolfie’s Closet is here to help with dignity and care.

How You Can Help:
We are currently seeking donations of gently used uniforms in good condition. If your child has outgrown their clothing, consider donating to support another member of our Wolf Pack!

Donations can be dropped off anytime in the entryways of the main office and high school during school hours.

As we get Wolfie's Closet up and running, we kindly ask that families reach out only if there is a real need, as our supplies are currently limited. But, please do not hesitate to reach out if you do have a need!

If your student needs access to our closet, please contact your Asst/Associate Principals or Counselor.

Thank you for helping us build a strong and supportive school community! 💚🤍

Dismissal Reminders Dismissal Reminders

A Few Reminders to Help Keep Everyone Safe

Our goal is to always make sure dismissal runs smoothly and safely.

  • ALL Parent Pickup cars should be in the pickup lane (Right-hand drive, closest to the school)
  • There should be no cars in the bus lane or parked in parking spots to pick up students
  • All cars must pull up to the sidewalk to get students. Students will not be allowed to cross into traffic.
  • All parents should remain in their cars to keep the flow of traffic moving
  • Students will enter cars through the rear passenger side door.

If you need to change how your student is going home for a day, it needs to go through the front office by 2:00!

Students will also not be able to be dismissed after 3:00. If you need to pull your kiddo out early for an appointment please make sure it is before 3:00 and that the front office is notified earlier in the day.

This year we will be shifting to Standards Based Report Cards

A new standards-based report card format will be introduced in grades K-4 in the 2025-2026 school year. While parents and students in grades K-4 will continue to view report cards through Power School, the format will look different. Students in grades 3-4 will continue to receive a letter grade for each subject, but will also be assessed using state standards for each subject area, including specials. Kindergarteners will continue to be assessed using only standards. Teachers will assess students using the state standards to insure clarity and consistency in expectations across classroom and grade levels. The standards-based design will allow more detailed feedback aligned with specific learning goals for each of the subjects, thereby aiding parents, students, teachers and administrators to focus on growth and areas needing additional support.
