Monthly Club Meeting Topic - Dealing with Disappointment

Disappointment is a normal emotion and it’s typically thought of as a negative emotion….but it doesn’t have to be. If we learn to handle it in a healthy way, it can even have a positive effect. Research shows that people who understand disappointment, and can cope with hard feelings, definitely perform better later in life.

On January 16, 2025, the Vermillion 4-H Junior Leader Club held their 5th monthly meeting. Before the meeting began, chili was served, and the club collected donations of crayons to donate to the Brodeo, a rodeo experience for children with special needs! At the meeting, Mr. Joshua Duhon from the Vermillion Parish Farm Bureau presented awards to the eighth through twelfth grade winners of the "Teens Driving Teens" 4-H demonstration day contest. The club also congratulated Amelie Broussard for becoming a National 4-H Conference Delegate, learned about upcoming events, and did an activity to learn more about Beef Cattle nutrition! The meeting was adjourned after the activity.
