The school year is flying by — and so is the progress on your bond projects. Here's a look at what's been happening across the district.

Thanks to your support in passing the $850 million bond, Spring ISD is making meaningful, district-wide improvements that strengthen student learning, enhance safety, and build for the future. We’re excited to keep you informed every step of the way.

In each issue, you’ll receive the latest updates on projects designed to support student success, including safety enhancements, technology improvements, essential building renovations, roofing projects, upgrades to facilities, and the construction of two new state-of-the-art buildings—including the new Spring High School—and our Education Performance and Instruction Center (EPIC).

The new Spring High School is coming to life and the finish line is getting closer. Here’s a quick look at what’s happening across campus:

  • Fields are taking shape: Baseball and softball fields are at grade, and the football field liner and drainage system are going in.
  • Paving is wrapping up: The iconic circular drive at the center of campus is one of the final pours.
  • Track progress: Prep is underway, with asphalt coming next once drainage is set.
  • Slabs nearly complete: Most of the campus is poured, with the pool and auditorium as the final major pieces.
  • Systems in progress: Mechanical, electrical and plumbing work is moving right alongside upper-level construction.
  • Buildings closing in: Exterior walls, roofing and waterproofing are moving fast as crews work to dry in the structures.
  • Interior taking shape: Block walls are going up in gymnasiums and locker rooms, with the Ninth Grade Center close behind.

One campus. Many crews. One goal...opening day is getting closer every week.

Ponderosa Elementary School families, this one's for you — your campus is getting safer.

Crews are on-site working at the campus entry points, installing door hardware and access control components at a primary entrance. Materials and equipment are staged and ready as work moves forward. 🚧

Additional exterior safety improvements are expected to continue in the coming weeks as the full scope of upgrades at Ponderosa advances. Keeping students and staff safe is always worth the investment.

The Education Performance and Instruction Center (EPIC) campus keeps growing — and the multipurpose pavilion just hit some major milestones. ☀️🔩

The area will be used for a multitude of events, including band practices and the Spring Livestock Show, along with possible community events.

Structural steel framing is locked in, and roofing crews are actively working across the full span of the structure. The roof isn't just getting covered — it's getting equipped. Key air handling units have been successfully installed up top, bringing the building's air conditioning system one big step closer to life. These units will condition the entire building and are essential for keeping the interior environment controlled as construction progresses — many interior finishes depend on it.

Meanwhile, concrete masonry unit block materials are already staged on-site and ready to go — wall construction is up next. 🚧

The pavilion is one of several exterior components currently under active construction at EPIC, as the district pushes toward completing a campus unlike anything else in the region. Stay tuned — there's plenty more to come.

The Spring ISD Gordon M. Anderson Leadership Center is getting a serious glow-up — and it shows.

A brand-new black metal fence is going up around the facility, with crews on-site welding, positioning and securing panels and gate components into place. It's detail-oriented work, and the results are already looking sharp. 🔧

The transformation doesn't stop there. The entire parking lot has been renovated — fresh pavement, crisp new parking lines and new greenery give the space a clean, welcoming feel that reflects the pride Spring ISD takes in its facilities.

The project is slated for completion by the end of April — meaning the full transformation will be on display very soon. 👏
