We Are Wolves!
Hello, Wolf Families!
We are finishing up our 2nd 6 weeks this week and then will start our 3rd 6 weeks and end of the 1st semester. Please continue to check your child's grades and encourage students to attend tutorials and Saturday Quests. Take the moment to review your student's grades in HAC/GradeWay and ensure any missing assignments are turned in before the deadline. If you child is struggling, please request a parent conference. You can contact our parent liaison, abby.saucedo@ccisd.us, to set up a parent/teacher conference.
We continue to push our attendance. Our goal each day is 95% in attendance. Thank-you for prioritizing your child's education and ensuring they arrive at school at 8:45 am each morning. Breakfast is served at 8:30 am and doors open at 8:20 am. If your child is ever absent, please make sure to give the doctor's note or written excuse to Ms. Lopez within 10 days. Automatic messages
As we continue the school year, please help us remind our Wolves to always come to school prepared every day with their charged Chromebook, clear backpack, binder, and planner. We are an AVID demonstration school and we work hard to teach good organization and study skills. Binders are checked every Friday during our Wolf Time.
Thank-you always for your support.
Wishing everyone a joyful and restful November,

Wolf Pack Reads: November, Book Fair is Nov. 10-14
Dear Families,
This month, our Wolfpack Readers are diving into Genre Exploration!
Students will explore different types of literature and identify what makes each genre unique.
Monthly Question:
What is the genre of your text? What characteristics of this genre does the author include in this
text? Support your answer with evidence from the story.
Our goal is to help students recognize the structure, style, and key elements of various literary
genres building stronger readers and critical thinkers!
 Encourage Reading at Home
Please continue to encourage your child to read their library books daily.
Reading not only strengthens vocabulary and comprehension but also builds confidence and
critical thinking skills. Even 20 minutes a day can make a big difference in your child’s academic
success and overall love for learning!
Reminder: Emails are sent out every Monday for overdue books. Please remind your child to
return or renew their books on time so that all students can enjoy our wonderful library
collection.
Scholastic Book Fair – November 10th–14th
Get ready for our exciting Scholastic Book Fair in the library! This is the perfect time to shop for
new books and support our school library.
Family Literacy Night – November 13th, 4:30–5:30 PM
Join us for an evening filled with games, music, and treats! Bring the whole family and enjoy
some evening shopping at the Book Fair.
All proceeds from the fair go directly to support the Cunningham Middle School At South Park
Library.
Let’s keep reading, Wolfpack—every book opens a new door to adventure and knowledge!
