Students Who Withdraw
- When a student withdraws, please return the device to the main office.
Data Privacy
- Rule of Thumb: If the student is asked to sign in, the app must get approved first!
- In an effort to protect the privacy of our students, our tech team is working diligently to review apps/software for classroom use and determine which ones are acceptable and adhere to our privacy policies.
- Please visit the district website to view the list of apps that have been approved/unapproved. Click Here to view the recent list.
- If you do not see an application on the list that you would like to use in the classroom, please fill out a Software Request Form. IT will review the app and notify you if it has been approved/unapproved.
- If you have not already done so, please enroll in the self-service password management system.
- This service will allow you to reset your network password, unlock your network account and change your password without the assistance of IT.
- Click Here to learn how to enroll today.
Technology Resources
All staff have access to the EdTech Resources & Support website. This website houses helpful resources on how to use the software and applications that our district has access to. Below is a snapshot of what the EdTech team created to support teaching a Hybrid Classroom.
Please visit the EdTech Website to view the full bank of resources.
You can access the website from the District site by going to the Staff Resource Page and selecting the EdTech Resources for Staff icon.
Google Meet
Tips
- Set Audio settings to the Livestream Camera - This will give remote students the ability to hear in class responses.
- Present you Entire Screen when showing an application or website - This improves the visibility for remote learners immensely.
For More Information on using Google Meet, please visit the EdTech Website.
Google Classroom - Originality Reports
Now that the district upgraded to G Suite Enterprise for Education, we now have the ability to use originality reports with an unlimited number of assignments to help students properly cite their source material.
What is Originality Reports?
- It is a report that compares a student's Google Doc with webpages and books on the internet.
- It will detect sources and will flag uncited text.
- Students can run 3 reports on their work before turning in the doc to ensure they cited correctly.
