Clarke Central Senior Student-athlete Recognized by Piedmont Athens Regional for Perseverance in Recovery from Injury
Congratulations to Sadie Miller of Clarke Central High School for being named Piedmont Athens Regional Orthopedic and Sports Medicine's Athlete of the Month for October!
Sadie, a senior flag football player, earned this recognition not only for her performance on the field, but also for her resilience and dedication to recovery following a painful ankle ligament injury last month.
Under the care of Piedmont Athens athletic trainers assigned to Clarke Central, Ty Imler and Joey Twaddell, Sadie followed a structured and progressive rehabilitation plan that began with range-of-motion exercises and gradually increased to running within a few weeks, allowing her to get back on the field and continue to contribute to the Gladiators' success.
“Sadie was incredibly diligent,” Twaddell said. “She completed her rehab daily — not just in the athletic training room, but also on the practice field and at home. She even motivated her teammates who were recovering from injuries to stay consistent with their own rehab.”

See Something, Say Something
CCSD considers the safety and security of our students and staff our highest priority, and utilizes the CCSD Tip Line as a critical tool for us to help ensure that our schools remain safe and promote a welcoming environment for learning. It is also another mechanism for us to celebrate good deeds or achievements by our staff members and students that may have gone unreported but deserve recognition and celebration.
Tips can be submitted online at www.clarke.k12.ga.us/tipline or by phone by dialing 706-353-1737.
