Thank you to EVERYONE who attended the Baker Summer Library programs in June and July! Also ANYONE with a BINGO on their Baker Summer Reading board should turn them in for prizes! All BINGO boards are due to Mrs. Busbee in the Library NO LATER than Tuesday, September 1st. Prizes will be announced in September. Thank you for sharing the love of reading with Baker Elementary and The City of McKinney Public Library!

• ELAR: We can be a good reader by listening and writer with special friends.
• Social Studies:We will be learning the importance of rules at home and at school.
• Math: We will be learning how to read, write, and represent numbers 0-10.
• Science: We will classify and sort objects based on properties of matter.

In order to help with practicing our high frequency words, we thought it would be helpful to note which words we have already covered in class. We will continue to add learned words to the list throughout the year!

If your student is going to be absent from school, please visit the following link for instructions on How to Submit an Absence in Skyward and other Attendance Information. Please send all doctors notes to: baker-attendance@prosper-isd.net

• Every kindergarten class goes to the library at some point on Tuesday. Please make sure you are sending your child's book back in their backpack so they can check out a new book each week. We will start by keeping books at school for the first few weeks.
• Please make sure your child has ONE DRY snack and a water bottle every day. Please try to keep your child's snack separate from their lunch. Please remember at school ONLY water is allowed in a student's water bottle.
• Every kindergarten class is allergy aware. Please do NOT send products with nuts in them for your child's snack. Thank you for your help with this!
• Please make sure your child is bringing their red take-home folder to school everyday. Also, please make sure you are emptying it each night.
• If you haven't already, please send in a pair of headphones for your child to use with their Chromebook throughout the year. They will stay at school and be returned in May.
