October Is Free College Application Month!
Throughout the month of October, many Minnesota public colleges and universities waive their application fees! We encourage Seniors planning to attend college to take advantage of the full month of free college applications! Applying to schools now will allow your student more time to gather information necessary to make their college decision. If you or your student have any questions while working on college applications, feel free to connect with our School Counselor, Meghan Braegelmann (mbraegelmann@evw.k12.mn.us) The full list of all schools participating in the free college applications can be found here.
Update PowerSchool/PowerGrade Contact Information
Please double check that all of your contact information is correct in your PowerSchool/PowerGrade parent portal. This should be done on a yearly basis and can be updated at any time throughout the school year. If you do not have a PowerSchool/PowerGrade account, please set one up. A step-by-step manual has been created to assist in creating your parent and/or guardian account. Simply visit the district website at www.evw.k12.mn.us and choose “PowerGrade” listed under the “For Families” tab.

Varsity Football Spectator Reminders
We are again asking your help in continuing to provide a positive and safe environment at our Eden Valley-Watkins Activities. Please remember to supervise your children (ages pre-K to 6th grade) at all contests and help us reinforce positive behaviors while attending games.
At events at the varsity football field, the city park is not supervised by school personnel as it is outside the athletic complex. There recently has been some damage to the city park during football games. Any student that leaves the game to go to the city park will not be allowed to re-enter the game unless they are with a parent.
We appreciate your partnership and cooperation in keeping our home games fun, safe, and family-friendly.
German Club Fundraiser-Softener Salt
Students from the EVW German Department are selling softener salt to earn money for their upcoming trip to Germany. Prices range from $7.85 to $8.90, depending on the type of salt you want to buy. Please contact Donna Orbeck (dorbeck@evw.k12.mn.us) if you are interested in supporting our students. Vielen Dank!
