We’re excited to invite our students and their dads (or father figures) to our upcoming All Pro Dads meeting on Thursday, February 27 at 7:00 AM! This event provides a meaningful opportunity for families to connect, build relationships, and start the day together in a positive way.

This month’s topic is Emotional Intelligence, focusing on skills that help students succeed both academically and socially. Students attending SRA for first period must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

We are still seeking sponsorships to support our meetings. If you own a business—or know someone who does—and would be interested in supporting our program, we would love to connect. Sponsors will be recognized with a banner displayed in our gym and at our athletic fields, as well as featured shout-outs in our community newsletter. Please reach out to Carin Hetzler-Nettles directly for more information.

Participants can enjoy a free breakfast, cool prizes, and engaging conversations that strengthen family connections. We look forward to seeing you there!

📌 Scan the QR code on the flyer for more information and CLICK HERE to RSVP!

2026-2027 Course Planning is Here 2026-2027 Course Planning is Here

Families, this is a friendly reminder the school counselors will be visiting English classes (9th & 10th grades) and US History classes (11th grade) during the next two weeks. Course planning sheets were provided in January and students were advised to review the website curriculum videos, speak with their teachers and have conversations with their family to prepare for the course selection process. If a student misplaced the course planning sheet, one can be accessed on the CCHS website REGISTRATION tab. We appreciate your support with ensuring students are ready as we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year.

Attendance Matters! Attendance Matters!

Attendance matters at Cypress Creek—every period, every day. As we approach our next Early Release Day on February 25th, I want to ensure all families clearly understand the expectations for student attendance.

On our last Early Release Day, we saw a noticeable drop in student attendance. I want to remind everyone that although the school day is shorter in length, February 25th is a full instructional day. Teachers will be providing required learning in every class period, just as they do on any regular school day.

Please note the following:

  • Students are expected to attend all periods on Early Release Days.
  • Instruction provided on Early Release Days is not optional and is part of the required curriculum.
  • Students with unexcused absences on February 25th will not be permitted to make up the required learning provided that day.

Your partnership is essential in ensuring that every Cypress Creek student is present, engaged, and on track academically. Consistent daily attendance directly impacts achievement, progress, and overall success.

Students who met the established academic and conduct criteria received a nomination letter last week, along with detailed information about eligibility and next steps.

If your student did not receive a nomination letter and you believe they meet the criteria, please contact Mrs. Conover or Mr. Lindstrom for verification.
