Good Morning,

Schools will be closed April 15-19 due to the April school vacation week. We hope that students and families enjoy a fun-filled week off!

Adams Information:

The new building is a large building that encompasses many different programs and departments such as: WPS Administration, Weymouth CFCE program, WPS Engagement Center, Adams Academy and Johnson ECC will join in September.

About the spaces:

WPS Administration: Encompasses the Superintendent/Assistant Superintendents Offices, Finance and Operations, Human Resources, Facilities/Maintenance and Special Education/ Student Services Offices.

WPS Engagement Center: Central Student Registration Center for the Weymouth Public Schools.

Weymouth CFCE: This program is grant funded by the Department of Early Education and Care. Weymouth Coordinated Family and Community Engagement programs work to support all Weymouth families as their child's first teacher, develop community partnerships and provide quality early education experiences to promote optimal child development and bolster school readiness.

Adams Academy: The primary mission of Adams Academy is to provide a smaller, structured, learning environment in which students can gain confidence and academic success. Academics begin at the student's' instructional level, all classes are competency and standards based with curriculum specially designed to address the whole student, allowing them to work to their potential. High expectations, emotional support, and a restorative community that emphasizes respect, relationships, and responsibility, help our students focus on gaining the skills and mindset necessary to achieve their potential.

School Name:

Unfortunately, we will not be able to keep our school name so we are asking families to help us find a new name. If interested, please complete this form. Once we have collected responses from the community, a few names will be selected to go before School Committee for final approval. Surveys are due before end of day on Friday, April 19.

I'm a Super Reader! I'm a Super Reader!

Help us reach our goal of 10,000 books

One of the most important gifts we can give our children is to help them learn to read and write so that they can succeed in school and beyond. Confident, active readers are able to use their reading skills to follow their passions and curiosity about the world. We all read for a purpose: to be entertained, to take a journey of the imagination, to connect with others, to figure out how to do something, and to learn about history, science, the arts, and everything else.

We hope to foster the love of reading in our students. Please help us by helping your child read each day. Attached is a reading chart that your child can color each time they read a book. Bring the reading chart to school once all apples are colored and your child will receive a Super Reader sticker. You may choose to only read 10 books per month or submit as many reading charts as you want. We will be keeping track by classroom. If JECC students reach the goal of 10,000 books, we will have a Bubble party at the end of the year.

Help our students reach their goal!
