New Buffalo Elementary School is ranked #34 in Michigan Elementary Schools by U.S. News & World Report for 2026. This ranking is out of 1,475 elementary schools in Michigan that were ranked by U.S news.

It looks like we could be in for some winter weather next week! Please make sure that your child is dressed the cold. I have still seen some in shorts and t-shirts. With snow on the way students will need coats, boots, and snowpants to play on the equipment. If they don't have the proper gear they will have to stay on the blacktop areas.

There will be a PTO Chat on Thursday, November 13 beginning right after school drop off in the morning. It will take place in the elementary conference room. You will sign in at the elementary office. We hope you can join us to get all of the updates on the exciting things going on with the PTO!

On November 25 the PTO will be hosting an all school glow party to celebrate the end of the PTO fundraiser. Stay tuned for volunteer opportunities to help with this event!

On Friday, November 14 students will have the option to choose from a Thanksgiving lunch or PB & J. This will be different from what the fall menu says.

Our schoolwide expectations for students are:

• 3rd week of Volleyball Clinic is on Monday, November 10th.
• Girl Scouts will meet on Wednesday, November 12th.
• Card club is on Thursday, November 13th.
• Science Olympiad is on Friday, November 14th!
• Thank you to all 3rd grade students who participated in the Envirothon club - This 4 week adventure with the High school Envirothon team & Mr. Eberly was fun & educational!
