Dear Parent/Guardians,
🐆 What a Week, Cheetahs!
What a great week at Tierra Bonita! We have so much to celebrate on campus, and we are loving seeing our Cheetahs continue to show their ROAR in so many ways!
☀️ It’s Going to Be a HOT One!
We are expecting some very warm weather this week! Please make sure your child comes to school with plenty of water each day. We will be monitoring the heat closely and will most likely have indoor lunch recess for a couple of days this week to help keep our Cheetahs cool and safe.
Thank you for helping us make sure our students are prepared for the warmer weather!
🐆 Getting Our ROAR: Responsibility!
This month, we are focusing on Responsibility, and we are SO proud of our Cheetahs for showing what it means to take ownership and be responsible learners!
A special shout-out to our 4/5 Village students! Our 4/5 students have a unique responsibility each day as they switch teachers, classrooms, and learning environments. We are so impressed with how they are learning to keep track of their belongings, remember where they need to be, stay organized, and manage the work they need to complete each day.
That takes a lot of independence and responsibility, and our students are doing an amazing job! We are proud of the way they are growing as learners and showing that they are ready to take ownership of their learning.
❤️ Responsibility in Action
Responsibility doesn't always mean doing something big. Sometimes it looks like remembering your water bottle, keeping track of your homework, taking care of your belongings, being prepared for the next class, or helping a friend.
These small moments matter—and they all help our Cheetahs grow into independent, responsible learners and leaders.
Thank you to our families for continuing to reinforce these important skills at home. We are all working together to help our students Get Their ROAR!
Keep Getting Our ROAR, Cheetahs! 🐆
Let's keep making every moment matter!

PTA EVENT UPDATES!!!
Boogie Bash is coming earlier this year on Saturday, October 17
Mark your calendars! Boogie Bash is coming earlier this year on Saturday, October 17. We'll have games, a haunted house, an obstacle course, the Cheetah Store & snacks, plus delicious food vendors! It will be a great night with a whole lot of Halloween fun for our kids!
This beloved TBES tradition only happens because families like yours pitch in, and we're so grateful for everything you already do for our school. Last year we came close to canceling Boogie Bash because we didn't have enough volunteers, and we don't want that to happen again. Even one hour of your time makes a real difference.
Here's the good news: volunteering is easy.
• Shifts are about 1.5 hours, so you can help AND enjoy the event with your family
• No experience needed. We'll show you exactly what to do, and you'll work alongside other volunteers
• There are jobs for every ability level, from hanging decorations and running game booths to heavier lifting
• Everyone is welcome: parents, grandparents, neighbors, and middle & high school students (great for service hours!)
Our biggest need: adult volunteers for setup and cleanup
• Friday, Oct 16: Setup (shifts are staggered from 2pm to 10pm)
• Saturday, Oct 17: Pre-event setup (shifts are staggered from 10am to 4pm)
• Sunday, Oct 18: Cleanup (shifts are staggered from 10am to 2pm)
Setup and cleanup are where just a few more people make a huge difference. Tasks include setting up tables and booths, decorating, and packing up afterward.

JOIN PTA!!
The Race to 180 Is ON, Cheetahs!
Visit TBES | Linktree to join Tierra Bonita’s PTA today!
Anyone can join to show their support for our school community and the students we serve. There’s no volunteer commitment required! Joining is simply a way to support the amazing school programs and experiences funded by Tierra Bonita’s PTA.
And here’s the fun part… when we reach 180 PTA members, our students get to celebrate with a campus-wide COOKIE PARTY! The cookies will be provided by the district to help ensure that food allergies and sensitivities are appropriately accommodated.
We’re only about 50 memberships away from 180!
So, Cheetahs… will you help us get there? Every membership counts!
Let’s GO, Cheetahs! The Race to 180 is ON!
PAWS – BOOGIE BASH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
PAWS – BOOGIE BASH VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Boogie Bash is coming up on October 17, and PAWS will need plenty of extra hands to help with the Haunted House!
We'll have volunteer opportunities in the days leading up to the event as well as on the day of Boogie Bash. We will also need help the day after for cleanup. No ongoing PAWS commitment is required — even helping for one hour makes a difference.
