Note from the Principal
Dear Hermosa School Families and Community,
We want to thank everyone who came to our Meet the Teacher Night & Open House. We had a great turnout and it was awesome seeing all of the excitement for the start of the school year. Only two more sleeps before we kick off the school year!
Returning Family Information Update: We ask that all students returning for the 26-27 school year complete the Returning Family Information Form by clicking the link. https://forms.gle/iuxA62uiAW8iU4hK6 This will ensure we have updated information.
First Day of School: The official first day of school for the new academic year will be Tuesday, August 25th.
Playground Opens & 5-8 to Cafeteria 7:30 AM
JK-4 Enters Building from the Playground 7:40AM
Class Begins 7:50 AM
JK-4 Dismissal 3:30 PM
5-8 Dismissal 3:35 PM
- Morning Drop-off: Please review the map below and help us keep the line moving and safe by having students exit the vehicle as soon as your vehicle comes to a stop in the drop-off zone. Once entering the exit lane, please drive slow and be aware/alert for students and pedestrians. Parents or guardians who want to come on the playground for the first day, please park in a parking space or in the gravel parking lot before coming on the playground.
- Afternoon Pick-up: Please review the map below and help us keep the line moving and safe by pulling forward with the flow of traffic. This helps pick-up go much faster.
We can't wait to see all of the smiling faces on Tuesday morning!

Hornet Volleyball Information

The wait is over, Hornets! We are so excited to welcome our 5th–8th grade athletes to the court and kick off another great volleyball season!
📅 First Practice: Tuesday, August 25th
⏰ Practice: 3:40–5:00 PM
👨👩👧 Mandatory Parent Meeting: 5:00 PM
⚠️ Important: All athletes must have a current sports physical in order to participate in practice.
Parents, please plan to stay for the mandatory meeting at 5:00 PM. We’ll go over important information for the season and make sure everyone is ready to get started.
We are looking forward to seeing our Hornets back on the court! Let’s make this a fantastic season! 🐝💪🏐
