Important reminder about toys at school
Leave toys, squishies (Needohs, dumplings, etc.), gadgets, trading cards, stuffed animals at home. Remember to remove all items from backpacks, nothing should be hanging or dangling.
To keep all students safe and focused, please ensure your child leaves all toys such as playground balls, stuffed animals, plushies, and backpack keychains at home. While fun, some of these items pose a safety hazardβespecially on the school busβas dangling clips and toys can easily get tangled in seat frames, caught on bus doors, or snagged in other children's hair during the ride. Dangling toys on backpacks can also become stuck in student lockers. Additionally, we donβt want children to be sad and disappointed when toys are lost or broken at school.
Thank you for your support as we work to keep students happy and safe at school by leaving their personal treasures at home.
Nutritional Breaks at school
Every class has a scheduled daily nutritional break. Please send your student with a water bottle and a snack every day to school. (Sugary drinks are discouraged and sodas are not allowed.) The students can fill up their bottles at one of the filling stations in the school and the snack should be something that promotes energy and is nutrient rich. The packaging and snack should be something that your child can open independently. Thank you for your support with daily water and nutritional snack.
Not sure who your child's teacher is? You can find this information on the Aspen Parent Portal.
