News and Notes News and Notes

  • Advisor's Excel- Big thanks to Advisor's Excel as they provided BES with lots of new headphones and flashlights for our emergency kits.

  • Book Fair- The book fair is coming!! BES kids are so excited to spend time with the Grandparent figures in their lives and shop the book fair during the Grandparent Day events the week of September 9-12. If you are interested in setting up an Ewallet for your child, a cashless way for them to shop at the book fair, please visit our book fair website at

    https://www.scholastic.com/bf/berrytonelementaryschool1

  • FastBridge Testing- Students are screened three times per year to assess their progress in math and reading. In the next few weeks, students (1st grade-6th grade) will take the FastBridge screener in math and reading. First grade FastBridge assessments are individually assessed by teachers. From 2nd grade to 6th grade, the FastBridge screener takes approximately 30 minutes per subject. Teachers use these assessments to identify needs for our "What I Need" (WIN) times when students work on skills and strategies for their personalized goals.

FastBridge data will be shared with parents during Fall Conferences, but you are always welcome ask your teacher for results.

About Me

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
