2nd Grade Newsletter
September 22-26
Good afternoon,
Our students had a great week of learning! They worked hard comparing numbers and placing three and four-digit numbers on an open number line. We learned about several important symbols for our state and country and finished writing our first personal narrative text. Hope you have a restful weekend! We look forward to seeing you bright and early Monday morning!

3. 🎁 Our class will earn fun rewards based on how much we raise as a class during the fundraiser. When our class earns a reward that adds some extra awesomeness to our day, I will be sure to let you know!
4. 🎉 It all comes together with our epic celebration day - the Windsong Stampede!
Our school goal is to raise $60000 for teacher grants, turf for gaga ball pit, new technology, and school programs! We can’t do this without everyone’s help! Search for “Windsong Stampede” to sign up today.
Thank you in advance for your generosity!
UIL
We are very excited to share that our students have the opportunity to participate in the University Interscholastic League (UIL) A+ Academics Competition! Students who are interested in learning, practicing, and competing in these events will receive practice materials and resources through Google Classroom to help them prepare for their events at home.
In early November, students will take part in a Campus Meet held after school. This meet will allow them to showcase what they have learned. The ten highest-scoring students in each event per grade level will advance to the Competition Team and represent our campus at the Zone Meet in February. Following the Zone UIL meet, the top six (6) students in each event, in each grade level will advance to the District meet on Saturday, March 7, 2026.
You will be able to indicate areas of interest for your student. Please keep in mind that there may be conflicts with practice and/or competition times, and it may not be possible to participate in multiple events. Windsong Ranch UIL Interest Form
