Hi,
A reminder that we do not celebrate Halloween as a whole school at Green Lake. Some classes celebrate a harvest/fall party around that time. We are not telling students to wear costumes, but kids can wear costumes if they want (to be honest they can wear them any day really, as SPS does not have a dress code that prohibits it). They cannot bring fake weapons like swords, guns, knives, nunchucks, etc even if they are obviously fake/plastic, they will be confiscated and will need a parent to come and pick the item up at the end of the day if they want it. Please have students leave those costume accessories at home. Also, please let students know that complete face covering masks will be asked to be removed during learning time. We need to be able to identify students and they need to have unobstructed vision for their learning!

Spanish Movie Night - November 6th!
Come out for movie night at the school! This movie night we’ll be watching a movie in Spanish (with English subtitles). The movie will be announced next week! Come meet other families, and hang out!
All kids must be accompanied by an adult.
Thank you for the Walk-&-Roll Donations!
Together we raised just over $21,000 that is going to work now to pay for after-school class scholarships, field trips, the 2nd grade swim program and more!

Help us decide the theme for this year’s annual GLES Auction and Gala!
Rock Star Night? Disco? Spring Fling? Just remember, dressing up on theme is optional, but encouraged!
Want to help make the auction a success? We're looking for volunteers to join the auction committee. This fun event is one of our school's biggest fundraisers and helps support important programs and opportunities for our students. We'd love to have you on the team! Green Lake Costume Swap is Open!
We have all the donated costumes arranged by size/age outside the Front Office now through Oct 30th.
Swing by anytime to browse donations and hopefully find a costume for your little dragon!

Next PTA Meeting : November 10th!
Our next PTA meeting will be a potluck! Bring a little something to share (or don’t! We’d still love to see you!) and come meet other families. Meetings are at the school, kids are welcome, we’ll eat at 6:00 and then talk about what’s going on at the school at about 6:30.
