This week was filled with SMILES at Wolf Ridge. We had our fall pictures taken on Thursday. If your child was absent or would like retakes, we will announce that date soon. It will most likely not be for another few weeks.

There are many ways for our junior high students to get involved at Wolf Ridge. While sports are always a great way to stay active, we also have many clubs for students to join. See below for more information. We want all of our students to feel like they belong!

• PFK MEETINGS: The Last Monday of each Month at 6:30 in the Wolf Ridge Library
• Next Meeting = September 30th at 6:30 (All parents/guardians are welcome!)
• K-2 Fall Family Night = October 1st 6:00-7:30
• 3-5 Friday Night Lights = October 25th 6:30-8:00
• Fall Class Parties = November 1st (Friday)/ Wear Costumes
• Winter Class Parties = December 20th
• Music Bingo Fundraiser = January 25th or February 1st (TBD)
• Valentines Day Parties = February 14th
• Spring Class Parties = April 15th

We are encouraging our staff members to STEP into STEPtember with a fun walking challenge. We want to include our students and families, too! Check out the flyer for details.

The American Heart Association reports walking is the most popular form of exercise. There are proven benefits to both walking and being outside. We hope this will provide a healthy and fun activity for your family!

You can print your own scavenger hunt but we will also send home a copy with each student.

It is not necessary to find every item. Just get outside and walk, have fun, and try your best! A winner will be chosen at the end of the month.

If your child was awarded Student of the Month for August, they will be able to bring a special person to lunch with them on Thursday, September 12th.

Students will learn about bus safety on this day.

We will meet at 6:30 in the library for PFK.

This is a tentative event that will be hosted by PFK from 6:00-7:30 at Wolf Ridge.

Students will be dismissed early at 2:00pm on these days for conferences. Conferences will take place from 4-7:30 on Tuesday and 2:30-5:30 on Thursday.

Students will learn all about fire safety.

There will be no school on this Friday or Monday. Enjoy your 4 day weekend!

This day marks the end to the 1st quarter of school. Law enforcement will be present today for a drill.
