YAHOO!

We had a great week having our first, second, and third grade learners back in our buildings! The students did an awesome job of learning our arrival and dismissal procedures! We are extremely proud of them and so happy to have them in school!

A Few Reminders

Students may begin arriving 15 minutes before the first bell at each school.

Stella May Swartz: 7:25-7:40 AM & 11:40-11:55 AM

Salt Creek Primary: 7:35-7:50 AM & 11:50 AM-12:05 PM

For Dismissal, parents may begin arriving at the school 5 minutes before dismissal.

Salt Creek Primary: 10:15 AM & 2:30 PM

***If you have a PM preschooler at SC, please delay your arrival for pick-up until 2:40-2:45. This will give us a little bit more time to get students off the bus and to your car!

Stella May Swartz Car Riders:

Please drop off your child for arrival on Elder Street by Door 4. There will be staff waiting to assist your child out of your car.

Don't forget to check out our COVID Handbook and Welcome Back Video! Our video has an update from the Swartz teachers!

PROPER MASK WEARING

Our students are doing a great job of wearing their face masks while at school and on the bus. We know this is not always comfortable for our students, but is necessary to keep our staff, students, and families safe. Please reference the following pictures for proper mask wearing. All students and staff must be wearing their mask properly, which is over their nose and mouth. We will remind and ask students to pull up their mask over their nose, if it is not being worn properly. In addition, the CDC does not recommend face coverings with a filter or gaiters. Please refrain from having your child wear these at school. This has been updated in our COVID handbook.

CALLING IN ABSENCES & DISMISSAL PROCEDURES

Please make sure to call the office if your child is going to be absent from school whether in-person or virtually. In addition, please call the office at least 30 minutes before dismissal if your child's dismissal routine is changing. For example, if a child normally rides a bus, but needs to be picked up, please call the office at least 30 minutes before dismissal. If you do not call the office in that time frame, we cannot guarantee that your child will be taken off the bus in time.

TEMPERATURE AND SYMPTOM CHECKS

Before your child gets on the bus everyday, or enters the building, you will need to complete a self-certification form that certifies that your child is COVID19 symptom free and fever free. This form will be emailed to you every morning. If you forget to fill out the certification form, we will screen your child for symptoms before they enter the building.

Meals

Our district is part of the Summer Food Service Proram. It allows us to provide breakfast and lunch meals to any student at our schools. Students attending our hybrid model will be able to pick up these meals at the end of the school day. If you would like your child to bring a meal home, please have a conversation with them at home, so they know to grab one. Students enrolled in eLearning will continue to pick meals up on Tuesdays from 1:00-1:30 at the District Office on Villa Avenue.

STUDENT HANDBOOK

Please see the directions below on how to access the District/School handbooks. Download and go over this with your children. Don't forget to check the box and hit submit when you are done. This needs to be done for each child in school. There is a lot of important information in the handbook! Please complete this by September 25th.
