Volunteers Needed - Booster Club!

Lisa and Kristen have loved supporting our community, our school, and especially our students over the past four years. As our time begins to wrap up, we’re excited to pass the torch and are looking for a few volunteers to help lead the next chapter!

We’re thrilled that one person has already stepped up to serve as Co-President, and we’re now looking for a second Co-President to partner with them. This is a great opportunity to share responsibilities and collaborate in leading the Booster Club—no prior experience needed, we’ll support you every step of the way!

  • Co-President (Co-Lead Role) – Help set the direction of the Booster Club alongside your co-leader. Responsibilities include communications, overseeing member meetings, supporting Booster Club chairs, collaborating with school administration on goals, and working with the treasurer and secretary on approvals, timelines, and fundraising efforts.

We are also still looking for someone to support our Sponsorships—a critical role that helps fund grants for clubs and activities.

  • Sponsorship Lead – Build and maintain relationships with community sponsors to ensure mutually beneficial partnerships. The bulk of this role takes place from July through September, making it a relatively short-term commitment with a big impact for the entire year.

Cardiac Comeback & Commanding Win

Monarch Rugby brought the drama this weekend. The Tier 2 side clawed back from a 9-point deficit, trailing most of the match before a thrilling late surge. With just 4 minutes left, they edged ahead and held on for a heart-stopping 34–33 win—definitely one to remember (and maybe a little extra tackling practice this week).

Tier 1 came out firing against the Falcons, dominating early with sharp positioning and physical defense to take a 24–0 lead into halftime. Despite a yellow card slowing momentum late, they stayed in control to finish strong with a 27–7 victory.

Up next: Senior Night this Friday at Williams Field vs. Regis. Come out and celebrate our seniors—Harper Midyett, Charley Cables, Nathan Clark, Adam Jacobs, Zach Crozier, Aidan Morton, Os Smith, and Gus Wood. Let’s pack the sidelines!

Varsity

The Varsity squad put on a scoring show for home fans last week against Frederick, celebrating Senior Night with a massive 7-0 victory shutout. The Yotes outshot the Golden Eagles 20-1, with Paloma Mellish clinching three of her own for a hat trick, including a header off a corner set piece and a PK. Lexie Slusarchyk earned 2 goals and 2 assists, Avery Kennedy had 1 goal and 1 assist, Rylie Jensen had 1 goal, and Avery Brooks notched 2 more corner kick assists. The win was Monarch's third straight at home, and they look to improve their 5-4 record going into this week on the road facing Broomfield, Horizon, and George Washington. Congratulations again to our seniors: Millie Barber, Avery Brooks, Avery Kennedy, Ellie Moriarty, Paloma Mellish.

JV

JV girls soccer team had a strong showing this week, earning a 10–0 win over Frederick. Hadley Smith led the way with an outstanding performance, scoring five goals, as the Coyotes demonstrated great teamwork, composure, and consistent offensive pressure throughout the match.

C-Team

Mohi's C team started the week with a bang, handily beating Mountain View High School 10-0 in less than 60 minutes. Seven different players scored goals, including a hat trick by Stormy Ogbuji. On Friday, the team met their match against Niwot High School. Scarlett Van Steenburg found the back of the net to put the Yotes up; however Niwot equalized the score in the second half. Yotes Varsity Baseball Team Continues to Heat Up

The Yotes Varsity Baseball Team is gaining momentum as the season progresses, showcasing their skill and determination with an impressive performance last week. Over the course of three games, the Yotes faced two top-25 ranked opponents—Broomfield and Holy Family—and secured a commanding victory over conference rival Frederick. The team’s effort and grit are evident, and fans have plenty of reasons to be excited for the rest of the season.

Battle Against Holy Family: A Team Effort
Sophomore Andy Wilcutt was a standout in the clash against Holy Family, keeping the Tigers off balance with an effective curveball. Wilcutt pitched 4 1/3 innings, scattering six hits and allowing just two earned runs. At the plate, he added to the offensive effort by going 1-for-2 with two RBIs. Other notable contributions came from Junior Blake Thompson, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, and Senior Bryson Venne, who recently committed to play at the next level. Venne had a solid day, going 2-for-3 and scoring a run. Despite the team's hard-fought effort, Holy Family ultimately edged out the Yotes in a close and competitive game.

Dominant Win Over Frederick
The Yotes found their groove in Thursday’s 12-2 rout of Frederick. Junior Dominic Cortez stole the show with a towering home run, finishing the day 1-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Junior Mason Dehne was a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate with two RBIs, while Junior Chase Knudsen contributed a stellar 3-for-4 performance with two RBIs.

On the mound, Senior Bryson Venne delivered a dominant outing, pitching five innings and allowing just two earned runs to secure the victory. Frederick struggled to keep up with the Yotes' explosive offense, which was firing on all cylinders.
