Our Busy School
Thank you for helping to make our transition into the building this school year a smooth one. Our new process of lining up is helping to keep our students safe and entering the building in a systematic way. If your student arrives and their line has already entered, they can simply walk in, no need to wait. If they are unsure as to where to go, there are plenty of adults at the ready to help with this. Thank you in advance for your continued support.
Shanah tovah
Shanah tovah to those who commemerate Rosh Hashanah. All our best for a good year.
Remembering 9/11
With our flag at half staff today, the Marblehead Public Schools took a moment of silence at 8:46 to remember what happened on this date in 2001.
Morning Drop-off and Entry
There is no supervision outside in the early morning. We ask that you drop your student off at 7:45 if they are going to breakfast (NOT BEFORE) and 8:05 if they are entering the building. We will continue using the lines throughout the school year. For clarification, we start sending the classroom lines in at 8:05. If your student arrives and their line has entered, they can just walk in the building and head to class. If they are unsure about where to go, adults are there to help.
Carline Protocols
For everyone's safety, do not leave your car unattended, and if you are in the carline have your child prepared to exit from the right only. They should enter from the right as dismissal as well. For safety purposes, please don't exit your car during pick-up.
8:10-SCHOOL OFFICIALLY BEGINS
*Students arriving in the building after 8:10 AM are considered tardy.
Who let the dogs out?
While we love our dogs (Duke and Boone, my two granddogs pictured here), they are not permitted on campus. Please help us make certain all our students feel comfortable at school and leave the dog at home. Thank you for your help with this!
Glover School PTO
Our Glover School PTO works hard to enrich our students' experience and support our staff. Please consider joining the PTO to further this amazing work, the welcome packet is here.
The Magic Hat
For those who may not be familiar with Magic Hat, it is a local consignment and thrift shop with a unique mission: the Marblehead Public Schools are the sole beneficiaries of the shop’s proceeds. The more the community shops, donates, and supports Magic Hat, the more money is available to be
distributed directly back to our schools.
But there’s an important note: we have to earn our share.
We are looking for a Glover grandparent, family member, or community member who could become our Magic Hat “super volunteer”? Or, we could use three or four parents willing to form a small Magic Hat committee and share the responsibility of organizing this effort throughout the year?
Could YOU commit to one shift a week this year?
If you can volunteer, recruit a grandparent or family member, or are interested in joining a small group to help lead Glover’s Magic Hat effort this year, we would love to hear from you. Please reach out to the Glover School PTO at Glover School PTO.
