Quarter 2 is flying by and so is December - where does the time go? GMS students started their STAR assessments last week in English and Math and are making great gains. Student excitement to find out their growth was all the buzz throughout the building. Scores that topped additional points by +2, +5, +10, +28, +32, +68, +155 among others were all the talk in classrooms and hallways - WAY TO GO GATORS! We are so proud of your focus, diligence, and perseverance to increase your scores.
The GMS Library is a favorite spot for Gators each morning and afternoon. CHECK OUT the following opportunities that are going on right now:
- Rebecca Caudill Young Readers Award: sponsored by the Association of Illinois School Librarians, this award is for those that are in 5th through 8th grade. Students who wish to participate must read three of the twenty nominated books to be eligible to vote.
