Principal's Message
Good Evening Weymouth High School Community,
We would like to take this opportunity to recognize the dedication and sacrifice of the men and women who have served in America’s military. Memorial Day is a time to honor those who gave their lives defending our nation and preserving the freedoms we enjoy today. As we observe this day on Monday, we encourage everyone to remember and pay tribute to these brave individuals who were valued members of their communities.
Last weekend at WHS, our MUN students hosted and ran the 4th annual Weymouth Model United Nations. The event was a huge success with 4 committees, over 10 schools, and 100 people. Congratulations to the WeyMUN staff led by Secretary General Obey Okafor and Deputy Secretary General Tolu Abioye. For more information, please check out the WeyMUN website: https://sites.google.com/weymouthps.org/weymun/home
The Senior Cruise on Wednesday night was a great success and a launch to our senior events for the Class of 2026. Students wore their college/workforce gear to celebrate their next chapter.
The Spring Art Show and Concert was well attended and a tribute to our talented seniors and amazing performances by our jazz and concert bands.
Our Class of 2026 celebrated their last day of school on Friday. They enjoyed their annual morning parking lot celebration. At dismissal, our staff lined the entrance of the student parking lot to wave goodbye.
We are continuing to experience vandalism in our school bathrooms. This includes dispensers being pulled off the walls, soap being spread around, and items being flushed down toilets, which can damage plumbing and lead to bathroom closures. When this happens, bathrooms may be unavailable until repairs can be completed, which affects all students.
Please take a moment to speak with your child about the importance of taking care of shared spaces. We encourage students to be upstanders—if they see someone damaging property, they should report it to a trusted adult so the issue can be addressed promptly. Thank you for your support in helping us maintain a safe and respectful environment for everyone.
May is Mental Health Awareness Month. Through our partnership with the JED Foundation and our Active Minds club, we will be working to change the conversation around mental health. Staff, students, and families will learn about the various supports that exist to help members of our school community dealing with mental health issues to promote their well-being. All staff and students are encouraged to wear green on Mondays for the month of May to help spread awareness. If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis, please call or chat the crisis lifeline at 988.
The last day of school is June 26, 2026. The last day of classes will be June 22nd and finals will be from June 23rd - 26th. Here is the schedule for finals. Only students with excused absences during exam time will be allowed to make up exams. Please reach out to your child’s Dean for approval. Students are NOT permitted to take exams prior to their scheduled exam period.
Have a great week!
