Weekly Update
April 24, 2026
From the Principal
What a great week! We were blessed to show off all our talent during our Spring Festival. I hope that you were also able to look at the fantastic projects on display in the lunchroom. We are learning so much this year. Kudos to all the teachers involved with putting these items together and on display. Mrs. Spotts and Dr. Brandt also did an amazing job with the program. It was a great night for all.
I have been asked again about our status with next school year. I have not been notified of any update from the Diocese yet. I am hopeful that we will know something soon. I realize this is a frustrating situation for you. Please know we are doing our very best to navigate the situation.
We are wrapping up our donation drive for Movers for Moms. We have a ton of donations for the Madonna House and not as many for the Salvation Army, which is looking for non-perishable food items. We are so pleased with the level of support given to the program. I know that both entities will feel blessed with our donations.
Next Friday is our Muffins with Grown Ups. We hope to see everyone there.
Have a great weekend!
Mrs. Heitkamp
Movers for Moms
We are once again partnering with Two Men and a Truck for Movers for Moms. This year the recipients of the donations are the Madonna Renewal Center (blue nuns) and the Salvation Army of Freeport. Both worthy causes. I am attaching their wish lists so that you can participate as much as you are able.
The Salvation Army is looking for non-perishable food items. These are similar to the food collection that we did earlier in the year. Any and all donations are appreciated.
The Madonna Renewal Center list includes clothing items and such that can be gently used and in good condition. So, during Spring Break you may want to go through the closets and find things that you no longer need and donate them! Spring cleaning and a donation to a good cause are a great way to begin Spring!
The collection will run during the entire month of April. We appreciate your generosity!
