A note from Mrs. Forbis A note from Mrs. Forbis

Next week is Red Ribbon Week, with Student Council hosting activities, pumpkin decorating contest to start mid-week, and we will wrap up the week with our first Trunk or Treat for the students.

TRUNK OR TREAT: This is a PRIVATE EVENT for our St. Stanislaus students.

Home and School is hosting a Trunk or Treat on Friday, October 30, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. Our school families will decorate their vehicles, park behind the church, and hand out candy/goodies to the students. The gym will be used in case of rainy weather.

Students may wear their costume to school that day.

Costume guidelines:

1) The costume must be comfortable enough to wear throughout the day and during recess and specials so an easy costume is the best option.

2) Costumes may not be violent or suggestive, promote drugs or alcohol, and should not have excessive blood or gore displayed, and not offensive to others.

3) Costumes may not have accessories or props that could be used as a weapon. No pretend "prop" weapons such as water pistols, knives, or swords are permitted.

4) No face paint, painting of skin, or masks.

5) Costumes should be appropriate for school, including length of shorts, skirts, and dresses, and have sleeves.

6) Tennis shoes must be worn.

Don't have a costume? You can wear a Halloween shirt with dress down bottoms.

SHORTS/PANTS: The last day for shorts is Friday, October 30th. Pant season will begin Monday, November 2nd.

HOME AND SCHOOL MEETING: Our first Home and School meeting will be on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the cafeteria.

Have a great weekend!

Sincerely,

Tina Forbis, Principal

Walk for Life Report 2026 Walk for Life Report 2026

On October 4th nearly 200 enthusiastic pro-lifers joined together for the 49th Annual Wardsville Walk for Life. Attendees enjoyed the day’s events at the Community Center (home of the Knights of Columbus)— events included a Pro-Life Walk, a Silent Auction, food, prizes for the kids, and of course some information from our 8 Pro-life agencies!

This was the second year for a sponsorship option for businesses and families. We were blessed by the outpouring of support from businesses and families alike. There were 21 ads purchased to support our event! Thank you to all those who supported our cause by purchasing an ad.

Winners for collecting the most money include Mary Kempker, a parishioner who raised $2801; brother and sister team, Adelyn and Jude Beck collected $1025; and sibling team of Mason, Carissa, Harper, Chase and Mable Bruemmer collected $425.

Thanks to all the individuals and families who collected funds to protect the unborn.

An Awards ceremony will be held after the all school Mass on November 6, 2026.

Mrs. Connie Andrew’s 5th grade class won the highest attendance with 39% of the 5th grade class at the walk, those students have received a Life Buck (dress down day pass)! The 8th grade class won the Change for Life competition. For winning, each 8th grader will receive a pick from our prize basket. Both 5th and 8th grades received $50 to purchase something from their classroom wish lists.

We have exceeded the goal of raising $11,000, so the Pro-life group will host the Italian Ice Gelato (GF/DF/nut free/egg free) party with an extra recess. The entire student body will also get to choose a prize from the prize basket. The date for that will be Friday, November 6th.

Our Silent Auction, raised over $2200 for the pro-life cause! What a fun time that was, with all the adults and children looking over and bidding on someone’s past treasures! Thank you to everyone who donated and or bought items at the Silent Auction!

Life Bucks have been sent home for each child who earned them.

We want to thank Matt and Laura Mertens, owners of Pizza Haus, for opening their hearts to team up with our Walk for Life fundraiser, giving us 15% of sales—which includes the best pizza around!

Thank you, St. Stanislaus and St. Margaret parishes, St. Stanislaus School students, teachers and staff, Wardsville-Osage Bend K of C , Msgr. Cox and all who helped or donated in any way. We appreciate your efforts and kindness in action! All of the efforts of each person involved, helped to raise over $16,000 that will be donated to the 8 Pro-Life Organizations. May God bless you for your continued support to protect the unborn!
