Hello TVMS families,

Thank you to all of our families who generously donated items for our Welcome Back Breakfast. Our staff were extremely grateful and are working hard to prepare for the return of our Timberwolves!

This week, we look forward to welcoming our new families at New Student Orientation on Thursday, August 21 at 1:00 PM. This event is for all incoming 6th graders and any families new to TVMS.

That same afternoon, we can't wait to see ALL of our Timberwolf families at our Back to School Block Party from 5:00 - 7:00 PM. It will be a wonderful time to build community and celebrate the start of the school year together.

Together, we make TVMS a great place to learn and grow.

Parents/guardians must verify and/or update emergency information for each child every school year. This is completed online in Family File, which has several new updates including how and where to access. Full details on updating your Family File are available online.

One exciting new feature is that families now can submit a change of address via Family File, rather than completing a separate form and sending to their school.

We are excited to welcome you to TVMS and help you get ready for a fantastic year ahead!

We hope everyone has been enjoying their summer! Whether your summertime has been filled with family time, friend gatherings, travel, or recharging at home, we would love to see what our Timberwolves have been up to.

Students are invited to submit ONE summer picture here that will be displayed on our TVMS TV in the front hallway. There will be NO public sharing of these images beyond our building.

IMPORTANT:

1. Student pictures MUST be uploaded from a student or parent HCPSS account.

2. Please be sure that EVERYONE IN THE PICTURE is comfortable with it being displayed on our TVMS hallway TV.

3. Ensure the picture is school-appropriate.

We can’t wait to see where our Timberwolves have trekked!

Corded Headphones for academic use

In addition to the linked school supply list, students will need to bring a pair of headphones with a cord to plug into their Chromebooks. Students are not permitted to use AirPods and other wireless ear buds in an effort to eliminate cell phone use and distractions. Classrooms will also have headphones for students to borrow if they do not bring their own.

HCPSS requires a new medication order form each school year, dated on or after July 1st, for all medications, including both prescription and over-the-counter medications. Over-the-counter medications must be received by the health room in new, unopened containers and be clearly labeled with the student’s name. The links to the order forms are below:

Effective the first day of school for the 2025-2026 school year, 1 dose of Tdap vaccine and 1 dose of Meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) are required by the state of Maryland for all students entering grade 7. Many students may have already received these immunizations, but the Health Room may not have the updated immunization record. Please contact your student’s doctor and send or fax an updated copy of your student’s immunizations to the Health Room or schedule an appointment to have your student receive these immunizations. Our fax number is 443-973-5510. The Health Department provides immunization opportunities for kids who are not up-to-date on school-required vaccinations. Call the Health Department at 410-313-7500 for more information and to schedule a vaccination appointment for your child.
