UPDATED END of Day Dismissal for students who do not take the bus home

For safety reasons, beginning February 24, 2020, Coyote Car Riders will begin between 2:45 and 2:50. Parent Pick-Up will begin between 2:55 and 3:00 or as soon as Car Rider Pick-Up is over. Parents who do not utilize Coyote Car Riders will be asked to remain in their vehicles until after Car Rider Pick-Up. Parents will then be allowed to enter the lobby to sign-out their students.

We need your cooperation to make this new procedure work smoothly. Currently the lobby is extremely congested at the end of the day which makes it difficult for adults and students leaving and entering the building. Our prime objective is student safety and the security of our school. To that end, we want to ensure that students are able to safely navigate the lobby and are being released to the appropriate adults, that adults seeking to leave the building are able to do so with relative ease, that visitors entering the building have access to the security desk and the security desk has a clear view of those entering, and in the event of an emergency the lobby is accessible to emergency personnel.

Teacher Spotlight of the Month

Mrs. Bartlett, who is our grade 3-5 School Adjustment Counselor, was recently selected as our Teacher of the Month. She has a set of twin boys and loves spending time with them and her husband when she is not busy at work. She enjoys skiing and hiking, playing with legos and loves to read!

Favorite Quote: "All kids care about something. It's my job to figure out what that something is and run with it." -Harvard Education Press

Staff Member Spotlight of the Month

Brian Mahoney is a tech specialist at CES. He is always ready to help trouble shoot and/or problem solve any and all of our technology related problems. We are grateful to have him on our staff and have already learned so much from him. His two dogs, Muppet and Ollie, motivate him to stay active each day. His favorite holiday is Halloween because he loves all things spooky and scary, and it's in his favorite season of the year: Autumn.

Favorite Quote: “Technology is the campfire around which we tell our stories.” - Laurie Anderson

Attendance is important!

Please do your best to get your child to school each day and on time. Also please help us to keep end of day dismissals to a minimum. Our teachers are helping students to pack up and we need your support in limiting the times that you need your child to pack up and leave early. Children are still working and learning in the classrooms!

Students take on Recycling at CES!

Mr. Baldo has been working with his homeroom class to organize, collect and get the recyling items to the collection bins on campus. Thank you to all the students, staff and teachers for their hard work with this important initiative. The students are all learning so much about how to do our share of the work involved in taking care of our school, community and the planet!
