Message from GHS Administration
Last week was the end of the first quarter. Student grades are available on ParentVue and StudentVue. Students have been working hard! If your grades aren’t quite where you want them yet, or you’d like some extra help reviewing the material, don’t hesitate to reach out to your teachers—they’re here to help you succeed. Students also have access to Varsity Tutors and Khan Academy for help. Khan Academy also has an SAT program to prepare Juniors for the SAT they will be taking on April 5th at Gainesville. Khan Academy is available in the PWCS Portal and more information is below.
Next week is the beginning of winter activities. Please visit gainesvillecardinals.com for all the information you need to prepare for tryouts the week of November 10th.
Information for all Students and Parents
Khan Academy
Khan Academy offers free, high-quality resources to help students succeed. Through its partnership with the College Board, students can access personalized SAT practice tailored to their strengths and areas for improvement. After linking their College Board account, students receive custom practice plans based on previous test results. In addition to SAT prep, Khan Academy provides thousands of lessons across subjects, making it a powerful tool for personalized learning at home. Encourage your student to take advantage of this free resource to build confidence and improve performance. If a student needs help setting up their Khan Academy account, or just general questions about the platform, please have them reach out to Mr. Nemerow in the Studio.
PSAT Scores
We anticipate that scores from the October 16 PSAT will be available soon from the College Board. Students that provided a phone number or email will receive communication directly from the College Board regarding their score report. GHS will print score reports for all students that took the PSAT, once they are available. An email will go out to the community when score reports are ready for pick up. Juniors can prepare for SAT School Day (April 5, 2026) using Khan Academy via the PWCS Portal.
