Given Thanks Principal Notes October 30th - Nov. 3rd

If I could please take a moment of your time,

As the fun and festive month of October is coming to an end we move into the season of “Giving Thanks.” I want to take some time to thank you… parents, guardians, and other vital stakeholders. This is the season we not only give thanks, but we make sure that the people who are essential to our success and those who keep us lifted when we fall short know how much we appreciate their support! I have had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with several of you, and I appreciate the conversations. I am grateful that you have allowed me to lead the charge of effective change in our school. Change is necessary for our Academy for Science and Foreign Language (ASFL) community to develop and grow a culture of service and success. Change can be uncomfortable, but the discomfort is only temporary. However, the outcome is everlasting and the changes we see in ourselves, and our students are worth every bump, fumble, and yes, every eye-roll...lol!

As Principal at ASFL Middle School, I have always valued the importance of being on one accord and having a shared mindset. I am thankful that I share this journey with an amazing faculty and staff who only want what’s best for our students. As I stated at the beginning of the 2023—2024 school year, “It’s our time to shine,” after all we are gravitating toward limitless possibilities!
